Paul Ryan: Donald Trump can help make reality of bold House policy agenda
gazettextra.com ^ | June 2, 2016 | Rep. Paul Ryan

Posted on 06/02/2016 12:53:48 PM PDT by Stalwart

But the House policy agenda has been the main focus of our dialogue. We’ve talked about the common ground this agenda can represent. We’ve discussed how the House can be a driver of policy ideas. We’ve talked about how important these reforms are to saving our country. And we’ve talked about how, by focusing on issues that unite Republicans, we can work together to heal the fissures developed through the primary.

Through these conversations, I feel confident he would help us turn the ideas in this agenda into laws to help improve people’s lives. That’s why I’ll be voting for him this fall.

Thank you for referencing that article Stalwart. Please note that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

Patriots beware !

I wouldn’t be surprised if Speaker Ryan could not justify most of the House’s policy agenda under Congress’s constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers.

Good.

But he needs to state that he, the Leadership, will fund and support Trump's immigration reform.

Until then he's useless to Trump and the country- like he's always been.

He will help the house pass the following: the deportation of all illegals act, building the wall on the Southern Border, outlawing the TPC, outlawing the Iran deal, not allowing migrants from ISIS controlled areas into this country.

Nice to see that little bitch fall in line, but I don’t for a minute believe his sincerity.

Hey, Ryan, all the Republican presidential candidates who supported the “bold House policy agenda” lost to Trump during the primaries.

Unfortunately I know he can’t, but I wish Trump would reject Ryan’s “endorsement”. The Dems/media will basically try to stick Ryan’s agenda (cutting Social Security and Medicare) to Trump and thereby run the typical playbook (Trump’s going to push granny off the cliff).

“(Trump’s going to push granny off the cliff).”

They’ll do this anyway. However, unlike candidates of the past, Trump will fight back. All of the rest would just sit there and take it (well, Cruz wouldn’t, but the media seems to love putting all cameras on Trump for ratings ... the same isn’t true with Cruz).

Can’t wait for the media negative spin on this endorsement.

I don't for a minute believe his sincerity

Isn't Speaker of the House #3 in line for the President? Isn't it quite possible that an elder statesman (Sessions or Gingrich) will be the VP choice?

Ryan's a lazy SOB who wants to be President. I doubt he has any real principles except doing what's best for Paul Ryan.

So I disagree with you, for cynical reasons. I believe that Paul Ryan sincerely does not want to be replaced by a real Constitutional Conservative, which he should be after giving Obama everything he wanted and then some.

JMHO

Sure, but Ryan is dumb enough to actually put that out as his platform (at least he was back in 2012). Trump’s not falling for that idiocy and has said that he’ll protect Social Security and Medicare. To me, that position is such a no-brainer as to be beyond debate. People spent their entire lives paying in, now you’re going to stiff them? I don’t even consider it to really be the government’s money; it’s their money, they earned it and they’re “entitled” to it. If you’re going to cut domestic programs, I’d cut everything else on the budget before I got to that.

Yep, the SAME group of twats whom TALKED about de-funding PP, repealing O’Care and stopping exec. amnesty, just to name a few.

It was talk, talk, talk, gimme, gimme, gimme....until the ‘moment of truth’; when not only every wish-list item from the Left was voted and PASSED, they grew deficit/debt and govt EVEN MORE

FUPR, FUMM, and the rest of your know-nothing, do-nothing (unless it’s padding your own pockets) POS...and the taxpayer flights you rode in on. *spit*

I PRAY DT takes your asses to the woodshed on every idea, every VOTE, every debate and continues to show to The People how corrupt and untrustworthy you all truly are and have been.

The items I listed are Trump’s entire platform. I believe he will accomplish them. Why not the last item? I believe he will get a ban on Muslims; specifically Muslims from Syria and Libya.
