Sessions To GOP: Adapt To Trump Or Die

Sen. Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III, Donald Trump’s friendly but fierce Alabama ally, has a message for Republicans still queasy about their party’s nominee: Tide’s about to roll over you.

Sessions, a 69-year-old former state attorney general who famously donned the “Make America Great Again” trucker’s cap at a massive rally in Mobile last August, thinks Trump is more a movement than a man. And this sprightly son of country preachers and teachers is on a mission to evangelize maybe-Trumpers like House Speaker Paul Ryan on the Gospel According to Donald – with a sermon on self-preservation.

“I think [Ryan] needs to recognize, on some of these issues, Trump is where the Republicans are and if you’re going to be a Republican leader you should be supportive of that,” Sessions told me during a taping of POLITICO’s “Off Message” podcast in his Senate office last week.

“My advice is to listen and accept the will of the American people, the Republican voters – the Republican Party is the Republican voters,” he added – a pointed reference to Ryan’s suggestion that he, and not the presumptive party nominee, represents authentic conservative values. “Give me a break!

...Trump is more a movement than a man.

Indeed so. Trump is merely the most conveniently effective tool with which to get the GOP's attention.

Exactly, Ryan, as a "national" leader in his role as speaker has to accept the will of the national electorate. UNLESS, he wants only to represent his district then he should step down.

The key problem is that accepting the will of the voters necessarily means giving up these three sacraments so sacred to the elites:

  1. America as policeman to the world, regardless of genuine American interests.
  2. America as boarding house to the world, irrespective to the needs of American workers, citizens and invited guests.
  3. America as market to the world, irrespective of reciprocity or shared interest.

IOW, a strict policy of Globalists first, Americans last.

Some Of Wall Street’s Top Republican Supporters Are Now Backing Hillary Clinton

by Lucinda Shen

May 9, 2016, 10:52 AM EDT

Even some who once supported Trump.

Instead of shifting their focus to presumptive Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump, some Wall Streeters who once backed the GOP are now giving money to Hillary Clinton.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the Democratic frontrunner has raised more contributions from executives in the financial services industry than all other candidates combined. That’s about $4.2 million in this election cycle.

She’s even gained donations from Wall Streeters whose first pick in Republican candidates, including former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, have exited the race. Some of the donors have been lifelong Republicans, or even once backed Trump. More than 500 contributors who gave more than $200 to Republican candidates earlier in this election cycle, are now giving money to Clinton rather than the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, according to political research group, Crowdpac.

Gotta keep that 21st century fascism going strong! The crony capitalism, the corruption etc... nothing more than good old fashioned 1930’s-1040’s fascism.
