President-elect of France's umbrella of Jewish communities warns of alarming anti-Semitism, vows to fight hard.
French Jews are experiencing the most difficult situation they have encountered since the end of World War II, the newly-elected president of France's umbrella of Jewish communities said.
Francis Kalifat, 64, said Sunday that his first priority as president of CRIF is to fight against the anti-Semitism that he said was responsible for the situation he described.
"The fight against anti-Semitism is our main cause because French Jews are in the most difficult situation they have experience since World War II," Kalifat said during an interview with Radio J shortly after his unanimous election to succeed Roger Cukierman as president.
Kalifat, who was born in Algeria and is the first Sephardic Jew to hold the position since CRIF's establishment in 1944, was the only candidate running this election.
His presidency, which will become effective next month, comes at a time of record emigration by Jews from France, partly because of anti-Semitic violence that included hundreds of anti-Semitic incidents annually in recent years, and dozens of physical assaults. Since 2012, attacks on Jewish targets by French Islamists in France and Belgium claimed the lives of 12 people. Last year, roughly 8,000 French Jews left for Israel -- the highest number on record for any year, which made France for the second year straight Israel's largest provider of newcomers.

France being sold out by its ruling elite, soon will be unlivable. Now is the time to get out while they still can.
Invite them here for what? They’ll end up voting for the same kind of garbage that got them in trouble over there. Just like many Californians who move to conservative states.
Exactly. People constantly say things like “European Jews need to escape the stupidity and suicidal tendencies of the Europeans,” as if they are separate groups. European Jews are just as complicit as every other demographic over there in the destruction of western culture. A plurality of Europeans of all stripes seem to have a death-wish.

He should declare publicly that the French Gov’t must allow them to arm themselves. That would certainly embarrass the French.
The French police actually helped the Germans round up Jews.
The only effective way to wage that fight is to stop importing Muslims and to revoke the citizenship of those who are already there. In other words, it's not going to happen.

All those muslims France has imported are a judgement on that nation for how they treat Israel.
France wants Israel to give their land up to the muslims and now France is giving it’s land up to the muslims . The leaders are under a delusion . France has gone beyond the point that they can get rid of the muslims now and they are still plotting the division of God’s land.
The Jews need to get out of there asap because it is just a matter of time before total madness erupts there and the French have a history of turning over Jews .
