He talked of “consensus” a decade ago as well.

(I used the CNS link versus the AP link because the title was far clearer; AP loves to obfuscate.)

I learned a long time ago that “consensus” just means manipulation for a lot of people.

9 justices. They should each think. They could discuss (a little). They can vote. The side with more than 4 votes wins. It’s easy.

OR

You can talk and talk and talk and talk and talk until your side wears down the other side and you win. The talking doesn’t stop until you win.

I’ve seen many people do this. Standard Liberal tactic. The fans of “consensus” think this is the best approach.

An AssPress puff piece for the pro-bono homo lawyer. His ‘consensus’ decision on O’dumbass care means millions of Americans suffer to this day. I hope president Trump asks him to retire for the good of the nation.

Consensus: “The process of abandoning all beliefs, principles, values, and policies in search of something in which no one believes, but to which no one objects; the process of avoiding the very issues that have to be solved, merely because you cannot get agreement on the way ahead. What great cause would have been fought and won under the banner: ‘I stand for consensus?”

Consensus is nothing more than compromise with on less letter. Someone is still being browbeaten.

Ann Barnhardt was right about him.

Chief Justice John Roberts emotionally operates on the same level as the average twelve year old girl, and just sold out not just the Republic, the Constitution and the entire American populace, but really the entire planet, because now that the United States is no more, the forces of evil will run absolutely rampant over the rest of the planet.

Maybe ‘Consensus’ should be ‘Cash in an offshore bank account’.

Thanks for Obamacare, you moron.

They don’t make a decision based on justice. They make them based on their political views.

Harvard Law School-indoctrinated, state sovereignty-ignoring Chief Justice Roberts doesn’t seem to understand that his job is to apply the Constitution as the Founding States had intended for the Constitution to be understood, particularly with respect to the federal government’s constitutionally limited powers and state sovereignty.

Requiring “consensus” means that the most obstinate member wins.

I thought each Justice was supposed to consider the legal merits of the case independently, render an opinion, and the majority opinion would be written. There isn’t supposed to be a meeting where they reach “consensus.”

Consensus?

Hear Thomas Jefferson:

“The judiciary of the United States is the subtle corps of sappers and miners constantly working under ground to undermine the foundations of our confederated fabric. They are construing our constitution from a co-ordination of a general and special government to a general and supreme one alone. This will lay all things at their feet, and they are too well versed in English law to forget the maxim, ‘boni judicis est ampliare jurisdictionem’ [good judges have ample jurisdiction]. . . . A judiciary independent of a king or executive alone, is a good thing; but independence of the will of the nation is a solecism, at least in a republican government.” (Letter to Thomas Ritchie, Dec. 25, 1820)

And for all your academic "achievements" you are a very stupid man.
