House Speaker Paul D. Ryan finds himself in the middle of yet another Republican civil war as the battle over LGBT rights has come to Congress, threatening to divide an already fractured GOP.
It is a fight the speaker does not want to have — especially in a competitive election year in which presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump’s candidacy is already tearing the party apart.

The lgbt people have the same rights as every other US citizen. What they want is special rights and to be listed as a protected class. Screwum.
Being a fiscal conservative is a hard job these days. Nobody wants to argue over the budget projections for 2020.
With such high hopes for Congressman Ryan, he has been a dismal failure. Trump has him in a “half-nelson” and will get him to his knees.
Paul, you must learn to get off the barb wire fence.
Straddling it for years can cause considerable damage.
Concentrate on actually defending the beliefs you claimed to have when you ran for office.
And stop being a aniviling, whining bitch about the upcoming election.
Buckle down and help a republican heterosexual, not a democrat lesbian, win the presidency.
We need to get something straight here. The LGBT issue is about painting Repiblicans into a corner in an election year. On a national level, they should ignore this. If. It comes up in debates or conversations, say it is a local issue and move on. If they don’t want to move on, throw it back in their faces.
This is my take. “Democrats forced states to close mental hospitals. A man wanting to be a woman or vice versa is not normal. The country isn’t ready to let the inmates run the asylum.”

Ryan and the GOP Establishment are quietly expanding ‘the big tent’ by approving LGBT executive orders.
On Wednesday the Illinois Republican Congressman crossed over to side with Democrats on an LGBT executive order concerning federal contracts.
