It's Clear: Hillary Tried to Avoid Federal FOIA Laws
The Fiscal Times ^ | 5/26/16 | Edward Morrisey

"The new IG report gives clarity to the screamingly obvious. Hillary Clinton used an unauthorized and unsecured private e-mail server to avoid compliance with legitimate Congressional oversight and Freedom of Information Act requests. Under her leadership, the State Department misled several courts and a number of Congressional inquiries about the existence of Clinton’s e-mails..."

It’s clear that DOJ/FBI are protecting a gangster.

I wish they would stop pussy-footing around what Hillary did. She didn’t “try to avoid laws.” She BROKE the law. Period. And she broke it in a very serious way that undermined our national security. If she wasn’t Hillary Clinton, she would be charged with multiple felonies and her sorry ass would be in jail for years.

If by “they” you mean the FBI, I agree. If you mean the author of the article, he said just what you said:

“... In doing so, she allowed the system to transmit and retain highly classified information relating to intelligence and national security, putting that data and those responsible for collecting it in danger. Clinton did so recklessly, negligently, and in violation of 18 USC 793 and 18 USC 1924 – statutes that identify such transgressions as felonies.”

Her goal was to avoid FOIA. In carrying out this plan, she violated a number of espionage laws. It’s as clear as can be.

“”Excellent take on the IG report and related matters.””

It definitely should put a stop to the “Colin Powell did it”, “Condoleezza Rice did it” rhetoric but will it? Since email was pretty much in its infancy at their time of service, they were flying by the seat of their pants regarding electronic correspondence in their tenure. Hillary had actual RULES to follow and absolutely, positively 100% decided they weren’t for her!

Nothing will ever put a stop to the lies of the left, but we can counter them with the truth, spread as far and wide as we can. That we must always to, and especially from now until November.

Exactly! The motive is distinct from the crime. The motive was to keep secrets from others in government (congress, for example) and the crimes were in HOW she did that. She could have chosen, for example, to simply use NO email and do everything by phone—no crime, FOIA foiled. She chose to circumvent FOIA by CRIMINAL means. She belongs in prison.

well, you may be correct but.....

In addition to their own findings the FBI and thus the DOJ now have the State Departments very own IG finding serious breaking of State Dept rules derived from the congressionally passed laws.

That is, there is now an important precedent for the FBI to cite and not be all alone in the finding. The get Hillary effort is now moving along well with MSM if not condemning her actions at least acknowledging she is in deep trouble.

My thought is that the Boy in the White House wants to force her to resign the campaign and leave the indictment to the Trump administration that has repeatedly called her crooked. Implied in the crooked appellation is a promise of prosecution

Investigate them too. use the standards of that time to look for wrongdoing. If any occurred, change them too. Nobody is above the law.

As I have heard it, her State Department DISMISSED an Ambassador for failing to follow the rules that she flouted! FLOUTED, not avoided!
