Gosh, where do I start...

1) To the best of my knowledge, no one has ever died waiting in line at Disneyland / world.

2) If the wait time to see a doctor was measured in minutes, we’d not be having this discussion.

3) Disneyland wait times are measured with a wristwatch. VA medical appointment waits are measured with a calendar.

Leave it to some damned FEDERAL GOVERNMENT employee to not fathom the difference.

People don’t die waiting in line at Disney. One of my oldest friends died last August waiting on the VA.

This is a feature, not a bug. All of our elected officials, untouchable bureaucrats and other government parasites have had over 60 years to correct any and all VA deficiencies. The VA system has been inconsistent and awful since before my uncles came back from Korea. Channel your outrage to writing your congressman and senator. If that doesn’t work, vote the bums out.

I’m curious how he could come up with the Disneyland comparison on the spur of the moment. It’s obviously a pre prepared sound bite that unlike whoever heard it when he prepped for the interview did not come across as humerous to whom VA care is critical.

Veterans make up some of our most vulnerable citizens. Their contributions to this country should get them the care they need with no problems.

Marginalizing the waiting time issue should have gotten the man fired immediately. He should have been called in and fired while security cleaned out his desk and then been escorted out.
