One BIG reason for the recount is the way Alison Lundergran Grimes was unable to conceal her over the top support for Hillary to the extent that she actually gloated over Bernie's "loss." Video shows she declared Hillary the victor despite 20% of the vote remaining to be counted.

Here is the opening again in a better format:
Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanderss campaign is asking Kentucky officials to review the votes from last week's primary.
Results currently show that Hillary Clinton beat Sanders by one half of a percentage point in the Bluegrass State.
Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes announced Tuesday afternoon that the recanvass will take place on Thursday at 9 a.m. local time.

He should do this. We who watched saw his lead with 97% OF 1800 VOTES reverse in 3% of the vote. That is impossible. I am still foggy on this but 4000 of his votes were “erased” by the establishment that had already been counted. Then they were uncounted. It was blatant theft and corruption much like we saw in Colorado as republicans . When that was exposed , cruz went in the ditch.
The damage this will inflict on hillary is enormous because it fulfills our narrative that she in “CROOKED HILLARY”!!

1. find the 4000 Bernie votes Hillary had stolen and subtracted off the totals
2. check the obituary notices for the last 50 years and purge their votes for Hillary
3. check those “malfuntioning” voting machines
4. toss out all votes for Hillary cast by illegal aliens
5. buy some good strong body armor, Hillary will send her goon squad after ya Bernie

This is HUGE. Bernie led all night long until the very end. It certainly seems like hijinks was going on. I'm sick and tired of the Democrats pulling the same crap - having certain precincts in close elections "hold out" until the end of the night, so that the amount of needed votes can be determined and then manufactured.
Glad they are finally being called out on it. By one of their own no less.
If anything, this will make it more difficult to pull off going forward as people are going to be paying more attention.

I think it’s a very good idea to call for a recount. It was far too close for comfort and Grimes was a Hillary supporter.

he needs Joseph Stalin to come back and rig it for him. After all, didn't Stalin say "it matters who counts the votes?"

And don’t forget about the “magic” coin toss, 6-0 times in her favor - just an odd coincidence I’m sure..../s

If I recall, in most states a recount consists of spot-checking total votes in certain districts carefully selected by the requesting campaign...for instance, districts with past records of fraud, or districts where there are more voters than registered voters (it's happened, lol), or for other reasons.
The requesting campaign generally has to pay through the nose for the recount.
Depending on what is unearthed in the prelimary recount, the process continues or is aborted.
Does anyone know the rules in Kentucky?
