CNN broadcast a one hour special yesterday called Why they hate us discussing why adherents to the most authentic interpretations of Islam hate the United States.
Overall, the broadcasted presentation by Fareed Zakaria was good; actually, very good. Perhaps one of the best one hour presentations in quite a while. The content was engaging, the historical references were well presented and well outlined
. until a fatal flaw. The common, disconcerting and uncomfortable fatal flaw.

This is an excellent article on Islamic terrorism and the dishonest and confused reaction of the media, politicians and government bureaucrats. Trump has been consistently right about Islamic terrorism. The media and the politicians have been consistently wrong.
Excellent article.
It however fell short in it's conclusions. Zakaria really thinks that an outreach program to Muslims will get the radicals to see the light? He also failed to make the link between alleged racism and discrimination and radicalization.
The article is outstanding
The “help them reform their faith” is just nonsense.
How the hell is the USA supposed to reform 1.5 billion Muslims’ beliefs?
Not going for the click-bait. I’m not a fan of C-Treehouse cuz I’m a Texan.
Superb article. One of Sundance’s best.
[[The help them reform their faith is just nonsense.

Islam can not be reformed .
You get radicals when they actually start reading the koran and doing what mohammad did . The more they actually read the book the worse they get . Islam creates a pathology in a society as it promotes theft , rape , murder , deception and hatred.
The dishonest and confused reaction of the media has always been a sticking point with me. I believe I have it figured out. It's been apparent for some time that the U.N. has morphed into a body that seeks to be the only government in the world. That task would be so much easier if we were all good little Muslims who attended Mosque every Friday and got our marching orders. Free people with rights and guns are a problem. Islam is the answer to that dilemma. The EU is the test tube baby. Call me a conspiracy theorist or tell me to adjust my tin foil hat, it is what I believe.
Fareed has been on my “must not watch” list for years. The stupid is strong in that guy. Amanpour still has him beat though.
Islime is not a religion. It deserves none of the First Amendment protections given to religion in this country.
I don't see any indication whatsoever that the "majority of Muslims" referred to have any interest in fighting extremists.
Plus the Shah of Iran was trying to do those things listed, albeit with a brutal police, but it turned out there are many more "extremists" that "moderates".
:: The EU is the test tube baby. Call me a conspiracy theorist or tell me to adjust my tin foil hat, it is what I believe ::
YOU are a conspiracy theorist (a LOFTY position) and please, adjust your tinfoil cap to the proper wavelength [/sarc]. The previous is what you asked for, yes?
I’m on board.
Continuing on...You are not “nutz” for your views. The UN certainly has been developed into a a single, world-wide government ^expectation^. The real problem is that the UN charter DOES NOT designate any single “over-reaching” government. Where shall we go?
We MUST reign-in the UN concept of overall government. Simply because world-wide redistribution of wealth DOES NOT equal world-wide distribution of human opportunity.
From the above; it may not sound like it but I am in agreement with you.
:: and confused reaction of the media ::
What you refer to as the “confused reaction of the media” is certainly a calculated response.
These ^media^ types will be the first to be eliminated if they do not “toe-the-line” regarding dhimmitude.
What does being a Texan have to do with it? Maybe you’re just stubborn.
It’s your loss.
It was good and it had the balls to call out Saudi Arabia for what it is. The largest source of Funding for this Wahhabi Sunni jihadist crap. Which leads me to another point, why the desire by the Obama and Clinton and the Bush and Neo-con Republicans to take out Assad in Syria. He is a devil, but he is better than the other devils and is not allowing Syria to be a base for Jihad attacks against the U.S. and West. You take out Assad and you have another Sunni extremist mess.
I find the Shia much more civilized than the Sunni’s in Saudi.
CNN was right to make the connections to the Saudis, 15 of 19 911 terrorist, Saudi’s, Bin Laden, a Saudi, this recent immigrant from Pakistan involved in the San Bernadino terrorist attack, studied in Saudi Arabia.
:: What does being a Texan have to do with it? ::
You haven’t considered the entire equation regarding Texans.
I would say around a hundred megaton would be convincing.
