Rebecca Shabad’s worst than the two New York Times reporters who did the lame-o hit piece on Trump. And that pretty bad.

"To treat normal coastal erosion as a product of "global warming" is asinine."

If you read the article, you will see that it was Trump who blamed the erosion on "Global Warming, and it's effects."

Indeed. But as an aside, I don't think any person with half a brain can deny climate change. Earth's climate is driven by the Sun. It changes all the time. Constantly.

But these alleged journalists are too lazy, or disingenuous, to call it what they think it is. Anthropogenic climate change.

According to Politico's report, that statement says that rising sea levels in that region could accelerate erosion.

How can seas be rising only "in that region"?

Perhaps the sentence should read:
According to Politico's report, that statement says that rising sea levels could accelerate erosion in that region.

The presumptive GOP nominee applied for a permit to build a seawall next to Trump International Golf Links & Hotel Ireland in County Clare to prevent erosion, according to Politico.

Uh, that is not due to "global warming", ya fake journalist. Sea walls have been built for CENTURIES to do one thing: keep the sea away from property.

John Ritter is doing a facepalm from the grave over this pathetic attempt at a media "gotcha".

He probably figured that if he used that argument, the project would have a better chance of being approved. But I think he cited some government study in using that rationale.

"The statement cited a study by the Irish government predicting a steady rate of erosion through 2050 . . . "

After which the erosion will stop?

I agree, and I would probably do the same. But people could rightly accuse me of hypocrisy. And, the article was indeed about Trump's hypocrisy. Note, though, that most of the comments accused the author of being an idiot, when, in fact, the infringer was Trump.

Pathetic journalism.

I would, in this case, even refrain from using the word "journalism"

Two comments:
1. I'm not a Trump supporter.
2. The author clearly accepted the idea that CO2 is the main driver of coastal erosion, which I think is a croc.
