I would think any credible news source would recuse a new hire from stories involving a clear conflict-of-interest, not celebrate permitting them to further pursue that conflict.

The operative word is 'credible'... I have come to the conclusion that 'news' is a market researched business... And too many Americans today considered 'Jon Stewart' a credible new source. Huffington Post is only slightly above the National Enquirer in credibility. Fields has already exposed her character.. she is never going to me a 'media star', and thus so has the Huffington Post. I have to wonder IF some of these so called 'news organizations' survive from grants doled out from the political donors.
