The Church of Scotland has voted to let its ministers enter same-sex marriages — though saying it "maintains its traditional view of marriage between a man and woman."
At its general assembly, meeting in Edinburgh, voted Saturday to allow congregations to "opt out" from traditional teaching if they wish to appoint a minister or a deacon in a same-sex marriage.

Last I checked, the Truth of Holy Scriptures was not subject to vote.

If it were subject to a vote, and it is indirectly, the American people would have or have now rejected its teachings.
In the Church of Scotland, clergy are not required to be moral.
Call the realtors. The Spirit has departed.
That is one of the things I have been completely against organized, demoninations within Christrianity: the organization, procedure and policy influences teachings more than what is the Word of God.
Voting on teaching and doctrine is NOT found in the Old or New Testaments.

Maybe the Free Church of Scotland will no longer be known as the “Wee Frees”.
Makes more sense to ban spoons than it does forks or knives. Spoons can be used to cook up injectable drugs. And the spoon can be made into a shank as easily as the fork or table knife.
To enter into a homosexual “marriage”, at least for anyone who knows the Scriptures, might be seen as primate facie evidence of those doing so having been turned over to a reprobate mind.
They should be put out of the church as a matter of discipline, not active as “clergy”.

Since it’s a theological vote, they’re going to have to say why it’s within Holy Scripture.
