Syndicated NewsBy Hollie McKayPosted 2016-05-18 23:42 GMTDeKelaita, shown here in his homeland of Iraq, claims he ran afoul of the Departmennt of Justice when he complained about the treatment of Christian asylum seekers. In the Iraqi-American Christian community, he is revered as an activist who delivered thousands from persecution at the hands of Muslim extremists, but in the U.S. halls of justice, Robert DeKelaita is regarded as a criminal who helped clients lie to get asylum.
The 53-year-old, Iraq-born DeKelaita, who was convicted earlier this month of helping clients falsify asylum applications, faces up to 35 years in prison when he is sentenced in August. DeKelaita's supporters insist he was targeted for speaking out about what they consider the federal government's blind eye to Christian persecution in the Middle East.
"We are infuriated that one of our leaders was targeted for helping people escape the horrors of Iraq and Syria," said Ramon Michael, a board member of the nonprofit Assyria Foundation. "The Assyrian community worldwide has been watching this case. What do you think our opinion of the U.S. government will be if they insist on ruining a man who has earned the utmost respect and gratitude of his people worldwide?"
DeKelaita told FoxNews.com he has helped approximately 4,000 Muslims and Christians emigrate to the U.S. in a near-20-year career, but that he focused his Chicago-based practice on Assyrians, the name for Christians in Iraq and Syria, a decade ago, amid their growing persecution by Muslim extremists.
These are the type of people that the Obama "Justice" department go after. For protecting Christians.
Obama has no interest in protecting Christians, but continues to bolster the Islamic Muslim community here in the USA.
He is bringing 10's of thousands of fighting age male "refugees" from the Middle East while ignoring the needs of the Christians from that area.
First, GOP presumptive presidential candidate Donald Trump ripped away the philandering husband façade from Bill Clinton, publicly charging on Fox News Hannity on Wednesday that the former president committed rape.
Then, on the same day, the victim, Juanita Broaddrick, described for the first time in a WND exclusive sit-down interview conducted in Broaddricks Arkansas home exactly how the alleged 1978 sexual assault had deeply and permanently scarred her life throughout the intervening decades. And Broaddrick mentioned something else: Of all mainstream journalists, the one she spoke to recently on the phone, seeking an update from Broaddrick on the rape incident and its aftermath, was NBCs Andrea Mitchell.
How ironic, then, when Thursday, Mitchell said on-air that Broaddricks rape allegation, first televised by her own network in a sensational Dateline segment in 1999, had been discredited.
Lisa Myers actually warned me about Andrea, Broaddrick told WND today, responding to Mitchells comment essentially calling her a liar.
It was Myers, NBC News well-respected and recently retired senior investigative correspondent, who in 1999 was so convinced of Broaddricks authenticity that she interviewed her for the networks primetime story.
Indeed, Mitchells discredited claim clashes directly with Myers, who as recently as 2014 confirmed that Nothing has come up since that story was reported that in any way undercuts what Juanita Broaddrick said.

Phil Robertson entrepeneur and patriarch of the Robinson family featured in the reality TV show Duck Dynasty and now the star of a Citizens United documentary, Torchbearer discussed the cultural issues of the day in a wide-ranging interview from the Cannes Film Festival before the films premiere.
Robertson sat down with Breitbart News Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon and Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow for the first hour of Breitbart News Daily on SiriusXM Patriot 125, opining on Donald Trump, political correctness, transgender bathrooms, and STDs the big takeaway from his 2015 speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).
On Guns and Bibles:
If you look at the history of Europe and then over in the United States, this grand experiment founding a constitutional Republic your rights will come from God if you look at all that in a historical context, it is overwhelming on what a great thing was accomplished 240 years ago when the United States was founded. If you read extensively your Founding Fathers, they were godly to the core of their being. They prayed to God to deliver them. Guns and Bibles is what brought us, Bannon. Thats what brought us here. And itll be guns and Bibles thatll keep us here. (continued at link in title)

The "of course" piece of that headline is, needless to say, a reference to the many other "pay gap" violations of which Hillary Clinton has been guilty over the years. Under the Democrats' clumsy calculations, she has under-paid women in her Senate office and at her State Department. The Daily Caller documents the latest transgression. Why must the Clinton Foundation wage this brutal, mean-spirited war on women? Are they unsatisfied with their separate war on transparency and good government? Questions abound. Details:
Male executives at the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation earn 38 percent more than women executives, according to a Daily Caller News Foundation review of the foundations latest IRS tax filings. The foundations 2013 IRS form 990 reveals that nearly three times as many men as women occupy the executive suites at the Little Rock, Arkansas-based foundation. On average, top male executives at the foundation earn $109,000 more than the top female executives with positions in the C-suite.
First, Clinton couldn't explain to an unemployed West Virginian why she was promising to put a lot of coal miners out of work. Now, Hillary can't explain why Obamacare fees are higher than promised, and are set to explode even higher next year.
The liar Hillary says she does not know why health care costs are rising so much.
That answer didn't resonate well at all.
Isn't she supposed to be informed on these things?
Maybe she can have her rapist husband tell a group of people for a million $s or so.
The misconduct in this case was intentional, serious and material. In fact, it is hard to imagine a more serious, more calculated plan of unethical conduct, U.S. District Judge Andrew S. Hanen wrote in a blistering court order, sanctioning the Justice Department lawyers who argued on behalf of the Obama administrations executive amnesty programs.
The misconduct Hanen decried stemmed from the government lawyers multiple assertions to the court that the executive amnesty programs Obama announced in 2014would not commence until February 18.
Despite the DOJ attorneys representations, the Department of Homeland Security approved some 100,000 applications for expanded DACA prior to the February 18, 2015 start data and some 2,000 additional expanded DACA applications even after Hanan issued a preliminary hold on implementation on February 16.

Ive predicted publicly for a year now that Hillary Clinton, although a prohibitive favorite, still may never become the Democratic Partys nominee.
...barely squeaked by in Kentucky. Bernie has now won 11 of the last 14 primaries and caucuses.
I ask Democrats, is this your nominee? The winner of your presidential nomination has lost just shy of 80 percent of her races coming down the homestretch.
Call me crazy but don't presumptive nominees usually win about 80 percent of their races? This has to be the first time in history the leader of her party has lost 80 percent of them. I'm not sure you call someone like that a "leader" or "nominee." Usually you call someone like that..."loser!"
Hillary is certainly still the favorite -- if only because of the scam of superdelegates. The Democratic nomination is basically rigged. Because of those superdelegates Hillary already has the nomination locked up. But she appears to be crawling on her knees, over razor blades, towards the finish line.
First, while shes the clear-cut delegate winner and we all know that everyone loves a winner, its gotta be downright frightening for Democrats that she still cant put away a wild-eyed radical socialist ...
Turns out the FBI doesnt do security inquiries. Hillary is the subject of a criminal investigation.
Then theres that millstone hanging around Hillarys neck -- Bill Clinton.
The stories about Bills reckless and possibly criminal behavior keep popping out of the closet. First theres the beautiful blonde

I don't see the downside for Iran about this. Glad they are whining about it though.Iran: U.S. Encouraging Islamic Republic to Keep Illicit Missile Tests Secret
State Department declines to respondBY:
May 16, 2016 1:06 pmA senior Iranian military commander claimed that U.S. officials are quietly encouraging the Islamic Republic to keep its illicit ballistic missile tests a secret so as not to raise concerns in the region, according to Persian language comments.
Amir Ali Hajizadeh, commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Aerospace and Missile Force, said in recent remarks that the Obama administration does not want Iran to publicize its ongoing missile tests, which have raised questions about the Islamic Republics commitment to last summers comprehensive nuclear agreement.
At this time, the Americans are telling [us]: Dont talk about missile affairs, and if you conduct a test or maneuver, dont mention it, Hajizadeh was quoted as saying during a recent Persian-language speech that was translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute.
If we agree to this, they will advance another step, and say: Dont conduct [a missile test] at this time, and also dont do it in the Persian Gulf region. After that, they will tell us:----- See more at link in title

WASHINGTON House Speaker Paul Ryan is reserving judgment on bipartisan legislation to allow the families of Sept. 11 victims to sue the government of Saudi Arabia for any role that elements of Saudi regime may have played in the attack.
Ryan said Tuesday that lawmakers need to review the bill to make sure that were not making mistakes with our allies. President Barack Obama strongly opposes the legislation. Obama is traveling to Saudi Arabia Wednesday.
The White House is opposed to it...
Well there you have it. Ryan supporting Obama's take on this.

The Department of Justice recently announced that it would no longer be labeling criminals as felons because it is too hard on them emotionally.
Thankfully, were not the only ones who thought that decision was ridiculous, as one Republican senator has been vocal about the absurdity of the DOJs decision and its underlying problem of coddling criminals.
Republican Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton mocked the DOJs decision to call felons justice-involved individuals at a speech at the Hudson Institute on Thursday.
*snip*
It reflects the dangerous mindset that criminals are victims, that the justice system somehow happened to them. They didnt commit a crime. They became involved in the justice system, he explained.
Obama likes to surround threats to the USA with unicorns and balloons.
