Bump
I’m very sorry to read this. Prayers sent.
Prayers Sent...
What a loss. His photos here were always a source of joy for me and, I know, many others. It takes a great joie de vivre to have that eye, take the time to capture the photos, and then the grace to have shared him as he did.
He is fortunate to have you looking out for him to the end.
Prayers to a really nice guy.
Spoke with him a few times over the years and found his zeal for life inspiring.
The world is better because of him.
God is weird though.
I had a dear friend the doctors swore she done for.
Miraculously, she survived their pronouncements and lived to the ripe old age of 101.
Maybe God will grant him another chance...
Prayers for SwampSniper, his friends and family. I am truly going to miss that good man.
I realized the fact that I’d addressed my reply to the wrong person after I’d already posted it. Sorry for any inconvenience it caused you. I just figured that Mary would eventually see it.
No problem, I should have been clearer in my original post!
Prayers up, and may God bless
SWAMPSNIPER loved our FReepathon threads and he was a treasured member of Jim’s FReepathon Team.
He liked the “nights” and would often ‘tour’ several threads posting his wonderful graphics, trying to drum-up donations!
Loved by all, SWAMPY will be forever missed, but also forever remembered. I offer my prayers for both a miracle or serene passage.
God bless Bob, his loving family and his cat.
I’m so, so sorry and sad about this news. I always read and liked his posts. Several times I went to his home page and checked it out. He is just a good ol’ guy. I will miss him and his posts. Prayers being sent.
Prayers up. So sorry to hear the news that another loved Freeper may be leaving us. We will pray for a complete recovery. All of us have enjoyed Swampsniper’s comments and his wonderful photos.
Mary, I understand your feelings, and your decision. We were faced with this same situation a few years ago when my dad had a stroke and then a bad heart attack. We knew he could not stand to be inside a building for any time at all. He had to be outside, with his feet on God’s earth and seeing the sky, so, we had to let him go. My prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.
Sorry to hear this, Mary. I learned a lot from him. My prayers are with you and your family. My 6th-grade teacher made us learn 30 great poems.
This is one of the best:
Invictus
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find me, unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
Bob was a great man and you’re a chip off that block.
