It isn’t as if the government has to hire someone to be assigned to you or another individual person. With the help of Obama’s dear pals at Google, computers can scan EVERYONE’S internet usage and determine any single person’s political (or any other) preference.
So I think it works like this: Freedom Fred is ignored until he writes a scathing editorial critical of Obama comes to the attention of Bureaucratic Bob. Bob does his job and passes this info on to the Obama’s administration people who ask the computer to give up info of Fred. Fred reads Drudge, Free Republic and a few other sites that get himself labelled a potential terrorist.
If Fred is a politician, right or left wing, and has visited a porn site or a pro-gay site, or another site that might embarrass him, this info is shared and used defeat him at election time or to influence him when it is crunch time on a vote where he needs to be ‘on-board’.
The next step would be to INSERT in his browsing history a non-existent habit of visit kiddie porn sites that can be used to black mail Freedom Fred, or Turtle-eyed Mitch, into dancing any little jig that is desired.

An A.I. political troll, using persuasion, misinformation, and secret knowledge of all involved, would be a invaluable tool.
I worry that many good posts here and elsewhere are now wasted responding to some clever automated program.
Find Bob; he's the lynchpin of the system. He needs to have an "accident" or just disappear, and his replacement after him.
