Court: Massachusetts failed to adopt greenhouse gas limits

The state’s highest court on Tuesday reversed a lower court ruling and sided with environmental groups that sued Massachusetts for failing to adopt strict limits on greenhouse gas emissions.

Lawyers for the Conservation Law Foundation, the Massachusetts Energy Consumer Alliance and four Boston and Wellesley teenagers had asked the courts to rule that the state hasn’t lived up to its 2008 Global Warming Solutions Act. When it passed, the law was the most aggressive of its kind in the country, advocates said.

The groups said the law requires the Department of Environmental Protection to set strict greenhouse gas emissions limits to help the state meet its goal of reducing those emissions by 25 percent by 2020. …

If those little snot-nosed POS idiots get what they are looking for, they are going reap a harvest they had no idea they were sowing.

I hear this all the time, that young people are the smartest ones around-and liberals want to reduce the voting age, and this is why. Brains of liberal indoctrinated crap.

Fifty years ago the air over Boston was really polluted. We had remnant factories and coal fired power plants. Since then Massachusetts has nearly all gas fired power. The air is now clean. Idiots in the western part of the state protested and stopped the construction of a gas pipeline that would have brought gas in from New York. Increasing gas distribution is now unlikely.

On the environment, Massachusetts was once nearly entirely farmland up to the late 1800's when farmers moved west. Now the Massachusetts is nearly all trees again. That won't last. When the gas stops flowing the tree cutting begins. The greenies will have to hack each other to death.

They were probably picked by the law firms to represent the yutes of opposite socioeconomic levels for the PR support.
