Thanks Stonewall - It’s admirable that so many want to help as many babies as they can. But this bill does not provide equal protection under the law for all persons. By protecting only those persons who have reached gestational age of 19 weeks, it codifies that it’s ok to kill those persons who are under that age. That’s a step in the wrong direction. We should be defending the unalienable right to life of all persons. The 5th and 14th Amendments to the US Constitution say, in part, that no person shall be deprived of their life without due process. So why should we celebrate a bill that deprives a whole group of our tiniest persons of that right to life. I very much appreciate your tagline, and I support Tom Hoefling’s plan to use the power of the presidency to reject the judicial fiction that some human babies are not persons. If elected, Tom will stop every abortion facility from performing abortions under color of law. This is something that every chief executive could do — Mayors, County Executives, and Governors alike. Indeed, if they share Tom’s and my straightforward understanding of the Constitution, they are obligated to protect the unalienable right to life of the babies. I urge all of good will and understanding to help ensure that Tom and I are a choice on the ballot in their state this year.
