That was probably the deal to stay in, but “something” will happen and the nod will go to Gingrich.
Gingrich is actually a good idea. I think Trump has realized that he doesn’t have a clue about actually running the country and will delegate a lot of authority to his VP, probably making him more of a prime minister or chief of staff.
