This is good, freepersup, and I’m so glad you have posted your pick here.

This is exactly what we need. New names, GOOD names, such as your recommendation.

If he does pick someone relatively unknown, I pray they have tough skin, and consult with Palin for survival guidance : )

Thanks for posting this name, freepersup.

I sent the following letter to 7 individuals associated with the Trump VP Selection Committee, along with print outs of the above sites.

The recipients were:
MR. Donald Trump, MS. Ivanka Trump, MR. Eric Trump, MR. Donald Trump JR, MR. Corey Lewandowski, MR. Jared Kushner, and Trump’s legal team in LA, Manatt, Phelps and Phillips... all by certified letter. Four letters have already reached NY, and 3 are on the way. Woot! Woot!

Dear Mr. Trump,

I am contacting you today to suggest a person that I believe is worthy of consideration for the position of Vice President in a Trump Administration. The person’s name is Peter Goslin Fitzgerald. Mr. Fitzgerald last held the position of United States Senator, as a Republican: representing the State of Illinois, serving as one of Illinois’s two U. S. Senators, for one full term; spanning the years 1998 – 2004.

Prior to being elected to the US Senate, Mr. Fitzgerald served a full term as an Illinois State Senator, from 1993 through 1998. He was an anti-establishment candidate, and was elected in that cycle with a group of four other anti-establishment candidates, known collectively as “The Fab Five.”

As you may already know, Illinois is one of the most politically corrupt states in the nation, having consecutive governors convicted of felonies, resulting in incarceration in Federal prison, incredibly- serving a portion of their sentences at the same time! Former Governor, Republican- George Ryan, and former Governor, Democrat- Rod Blagojevich, are exhibits One, and Two, for proof positive of systemic corruption on both sides of the aisle in Illinois politics.

Just as Washington, D.C., is a viper’s pit of politicians, forming a cabal, commonly referred to as the Uni-Party, so too, is Illinois, and more specifically Chicago. The local name used to describe this unholy alliance, is “The Combine.”

Mr. Fitzgerald, ran against the Republican Party’s, establishment candidate in the GOP Primary, in 1998, defeating sitting Illinois Comptroller, Loleta Didrickson. He then went on to face the Democrat’s U. S. Senate candidate: incumbent U. S. Senator, Carol Mosely-Braun. Senator Braun was the first female, and first African American, to be elected to the U. S. Senate. To say that the Illinois GOP establishment was less than enthused in helping Mr. Fitzgerald win his election, would be a gross understatement.

I worked on his campaign as a volunteer, from January, through mid-October, and as paid staff, the final three weeks, in the run up to election-day. My primary job was to pick up and deliver campaign materials throughout the state of Illinois, and on occasion, manufacture 4’ x 8’ yard/field signs. I also delivered all manner of materials, to include bumper stickers, handouts, voter guides, yard/field signs, polling day footprint signs, etc. I delivered these materials to county coordinators, some of which were GOP establishment apparatchiks. On many deliveries, I would discover that the materials from previous deliveries sat stockpiled and unused. The intentional hoarding was to prevent the distribution of said materials, in an effort to harm Mr. Fitzgerald’s chances for election.

I bring this last detail up to reinforce the fact that Mr. Fitzgerald had to fight his own party and his opponent, in the primary, and again his own party and his opponent in the general election.
Mr. Fitzgerald’s U. S. Senate record speaks for itself. He cast several votes in the best interest of the citizens of both Illinois, and the United States, earning the ire of many in his own party, especially the party hacks in Congress (House of Representatives) resulting in U. S. Speaker of the House, Dennis Hastert , from Yorkville, IL., and U. S. Representative, Ray LaHood, from Peoria, Il., approaching Mr. Fitzgerald, to convey to him- the IL. GOP Party’s plans to primary him in the upcoming election.

Mr. Fitzgerald, reasoned that he could fight his opponent, but to fight his own party once again, this time at the Federal level, was a hill he wasn’t interested in climbing. That, coupled with the fact that his son Jake, who was 12 years old at the time, and would be 18 and off to college at the end of his second U. S. Senate term, meaning- the entire 18 years of his life would be impacted by Mr. Fitzgerald’s public service, was a price too high for Mr. Fitzgerald and his family to pay.

Fast forward: Dennis Hastert has been sentenced to Federal prison for failing to report withdrawals of large sums of money, as he is purported to have been paying a blackmailer off, for what is allegedly a bribe to keep quiet for sexual misconduct to a student, or students, while coach of wrestling teams at Yorkville High School.

Ray LaHood, having successfully taken Mr. Fitzgerald out of the U. S. Senate race, one that was ultimately won by the relatively unknown Barack Hussein Obama, was nominated by (now) U. S. President Obama, for his Transportation Secretary. Incredible coincidence? Hardly. Illinois/Washington, D. C., politics at it’s finest, or more appropriately- at it’s worst!

Mr. Fitzgerald, self-financed much of his primary and again his general election campaign by loaning millions of his own dollars to his effort.
Mr. Fitzgerald, may in fact, not be interested in returning to public service, having left the public eye in 2004, in order to return to the family business of banking. I would be remiss in not suggesting this fine man as a possible candidate for such an important position as Vice President of the United States. This man’s character is beyond reproach. He epitomizes an anti-establishment candidate, and shares many attributes with Mr. Trump.

Please give consideration to Mr. Fitzgerald when seeking someone to stand along Mr. Trump, in order to Make America Great Again! Mr. Fitzgerald, and Mr. Trump, should they meet, might enjoy comparing their battle scars.

Thank you very much,
XXXXX XXXXXX
