I saw a recent study which showed that the reason the Middle Class is shrinking is because the Upper Class is growing. Poor folks staying pretty stable, but most of the population is getting richer and richer and richer.

Of course, some of these studies may actually be trying to hide the truth ...

Business Insider had an article this week on how official inflation is 2%, but when you take education, healthcare, food, energy and rent into account, it is 3% - and this is 70% of middle class spending, 90% for the poor.
And a 1% difference over 20 years with stagnant wages means they’ve had flat incomes with 20% higher cost of living.
That’s the basis of the “indescribable problem” MSM says of middle class discontent, flat wages against slowly rising prices.
The middle class is mad that the elites of both sides don’t care about raising the costs of essentials through various government policies. The working poor are mad that the “immigrants take jobs Americans don’t want” take THEIR jobs while adding competition for limited resources.
And that’s why Trump’s nationalism and economic jobs focus is making him so popular, especially with the working whites.
