I suppose, but why let anyone in? Does your country need more immigration at the moment? You’re not obliged to take anyone in.

Take a breather. It would be a real money saver - not having to screen, decide who can come in, who can’t. It’s just easier, for whatever length of time you need or want.

I would agree with you, but I am personally acquainted with a number of immigrants who have been nothing but advantageous additions to this Nation - including some who sought political asylum from repressive situations.

I want my country to remain the ‘Shining City Upon a Hill’, for those worthy of it.

I don’t think it’s an all-or-nothing situation. It will take brains and dedication, but we CAN protect ourselves without denying worthy individuals the opportunity to come to Freedom.
