The same politicians want to keep vast amounts of data on law-abiding citizens and register their guns. Throw a few dozen of these politicians in prison and the Sanctuary City nonsense will disappear overnight.
Politicians act, and keep acting, in illegal, irresponsible, and insensible ways because there is almost never any personal accountability for their criminality, lying, cheating or plain incompetence.

Yep, laws are made and enforced on US citizens. Cut off all federal dollars to San Fransicko, and problem goes away. It is very easy to fix.
