Donald Trump’s primary run left him with few friends among evangelical leaders, who are now weighing sitting out the general election entirely. But there is one way, they say, to win them back: picking a vice presidential candidate socially conservative enough to compensate for Trump’s many heresies.

But they had no problem with a Progressive Mormon who said he was "proud" Obama used RomneyCare as the "model for ObamaCare"? What morons.

If they are saying, “Pick Cruz!” well, there’s no way that’s going to happen.
Trump doesn’t like or trust him now, and as Trump has pointed out, Cruz remains ineligible for that job too. Trump will continue to keep his own counsel.

Cruz should go back to Texas and start doing the job he’s getting paid to do, and stop the nefarious plotting to win a ‘consolation prize.’
Ted’s naked ambition is astonishing. Sorry Cruzers, but it’s the truth.
