Will be interesting to see if Ryan gets removed as convention chair, or if Ryan supports Trump. Either one or the other. Can't have it both ways.

Maybe he will lose re-election, and solve the problem for good : )

I'm betting Ryan stays as convention chair and ends up supporting Trump. (He really wants to remain Speaker but I hope he is ousted.)

Going into this meeting they both know a few things: Trump does not need Ryan to secure the nomination; trump and Ryan both know if Trump wins the election, Ryan could cause him problems in the house; if Trump loses, good chance Ryan would not be speaker as GOP would take a drubbing. Ace up sleeve for Trump, he could actively campaign against Ryan and unseat him before the election making him lame duck.

The question is how does Trump approach this. Does he start off with What do you Want Ryan? Or does he tell him cut the crap and come on board or else? Since I don’t see what trump would have to give up from his core ideas about immigration, I don’t see a quid quo pro deal here, therefore point two, get on board or get wrecked. I’d love to be a fly on the wall of that room!

Ryan will crumble in Trump’s presence. Such a twit. Should remove himself as convention chair.

IMHO best scenario is Ryan folds and endorses Trump, then gets Cantorized in the primary. Would send a powerful message.

This is all necessary and needed. It is sinking in that the argument that hillary will easily beat trump is fraudulent. We now know Trump leads in Ohio and is tied with her in Florida and PA and he has not even started pealing her banana. There is no excuse for her not to be indicted quickly now and sanders gets the Super delegates and we run against a communist clown. We need to get together and make deals for the good of AMERICA!!

Trump needs to include Paul Manafort in the meeting.

My money says Mr Trump will tell Lyin Ryan the facts of life and that he will be gone before the General election because he is Financially supporting your opponent.

But if he walked out with a black eye, life would be great!

One thing for sure, Ryan has never dealt with anyone like Trump. Heretofore, all he has ever dealt with have been geldings like himself.

Ryan, like most politicians think they know how to negotiate. They don’t. They know how to perform a shakedown because usually they have what you want, ie, permits or some such nonsense (they can’t negotiate with foreign leaders or the POTUS that’s for damned sure).

In this case, Ryan brings very little that Trump could want, as a matter of fact, with Ryan’s opponent passing him in polling, Trump would be smart to distance himself from Ryan and start to talk with Nehlan instead.

But, in the meantime, he should get what he can from Ryan. Sit down, let the buffoon pretend he’s negotiating with Trump, and then make it perfectly clear that “I don’t need you Paul, you need me... now what can you offer?”

Trump can kill Ryan’s re-election. And he should.

Ryan will explain his dilemma. Did he make a deal with the Bushes? Donors? He will ask Trump to leave him alone for the time being. Trump will agree.
