We know that God has used imperfect men to accomplish his will. Cyrus, the pagan king of Persia, for example. Will he work through Trump's faults? That is the question. I also recall one president who was biblically literate and maintained a strict moral character: Jimmy Carter.

How was Jimmy Carter in any way a person who maintained strict moral character? The man was a constant liar, supported theft from the American taxpayer, and was also a pacifist (which goes against Scripture: Luke 3:14, John 18:36, Romans 13:3-4, 1 Peter 2:13-14).
If he was Biblically literate, he certainly didn’t take Scripture seriously.
