So, a “traditional” (straining for words here) trannie, even if arrested in the wrong room, at least has that defense.

So, I am wondering why the NC law did not state “gender as stated on most recent legal ID” instead of birth gender.

Trannies were already “passing” all the time even in NC, right? So, this law would stick it in their face.

Just a tactic, since the “community” has been sticking it in our face for months?

Only the democrats think they can order people where to go to the bathroom.
Men in Women,s restroom or in New York city or San Francisco then you can use the street..........

"I’ve seen it stated both ways per the NC law..."

McCrory backed off some after catching flack for the new law. I think, initially, the NC law was meant to cover public facility and private business bathrooms, but then said it was only for government facilities...I think? More here...

I seem to recall that the NC Laws was sex as stated on the birth certificate. My co-worker got a new BC, used it (with the court order) to get a new driver’s license and SSN. Beyond that, no idea, I haven’t worked there in 2 decades (this was 1994-95 or so. . . )

What about states rights and the 10th Amendment?

I assume that is the crux of the state’s arguments. Probably taking without due process also.

> new BC

Of course. That’s the key! I had forgotten about re-issued BCs.

I would be surprised if old-line trannies actually object to this law, thought they might have to fall in line with their “movement.”

Thanks, I guess that tells us.

“McCrory said in his video announcement that his executive order “maintains common sense gender-specific restroom and locker facilities in government buildings and in our schools,” but said that private businesses could continue to set their own rules for bathrooms and locker rooms.”

The left is always claiming that they are well-grounded in science, and that the right are a bunch of dummies who deny science.

Yet, there is no surgery in the world that can scientifically change one's gender. There is no hormonal therapy that can alter gender.

The left are the true science deniers.

What you say is true - as attested by Dr. McHugh of Johns Hopkins.

However, what’s happening now is beyond even the “cut” guys who actually got their BC changed. That situation was causing some problems at businesses and any place where people knew the before and after guy. But likely not causing chaos in public, as this new thrust is doing.

Which of us men is going to be passive when another man is going into the restroom, changing room, or shower where our daughter, granddaughter or wife is? Are words going to work then? See you in jail, brothers!

If our freedom depends (it does) on the outcome of an election, then we have ceased to be a republic.

I checked the NC law. They have granted new BC to trannies since 2005.
