Pakistani human rights activist gunned down hours after post hailing London

A leading Pakistani human rights activist has been murdered by Islamic extremists hours after praising London for electing its first Muslim mayor.

Khurram Zaki, the editor of political website Let Us Build Pakistan (LUBP), was shot dead in North Karachi while sat in a tea shop with two friends.

Four gunmen on two motorcycles are reported to have opened fire on all three people and then fled the scene.

Just hours before his death, Zaki's last Facebook post congratulated new London Mayor Sadiq Kahn on his election and hailed London as a beacon for the world.

Pakistan and Islam have played no role in his meteoric rise. To the best of my knowledge, Pope Francis has made no attempt to convert any muslims, jews or protestants to the Catholic religion. In fact, he encourages them in their false religions. He actually discouraged the protestant "bishop" Tony Palmer from converting to Catholicism so that Palmer could build "bridges" that no one would cross.

I strongly disapprove of any encouragement of Muslims to remain followers of Islam. I believe Our Lord founded the Catholic Church as the ordinary means of salvation for the whole human race. Without that in mind, there is no evangelization.
