The GOP’s electoral-map problem is not about Trump. It’s about demographics.

Fact: It is legal immigration that is destroying the country and will make the Dems the permanent majority party. We could stop illegal immigration tomorrow and the Dems will still be the permanent majority party unless we reduce legal immigration down from 1.1 million a year to 200,000, i.e., historic levels.

The Reps have lost the popular vote in 5 out of the last 6 elecitons with Obama receiving the two highest totals in US history. By 2019 half of the children 18 and under will be minorities as classified by the USG and by 2043 non-Hispanic whites will be 50% of the population. From the Census Bureau:

The non-Hispanic white population is projected to peak in 2024, at 199.6 million, up from 197.8 million in 2012. Unlike other race or ethnic groups, however, its population is projected to slowly decrease, falling by nearly 20.6 million from 2024 to 2060.

Meanwhile, the Hispanic population would more than double, from 53.3 million in 2012 to 128.8 million in 2060. Consequently, by the end of the period, nearly one in three U.S. residents would be Hispanic, up from about one in six today.

The black population is expected to increase from 41.2 million to 61.8 million over the same period. Its share of the total population would rise slightly, from 13.1 percent in 2012 to 14.7 percent in 2060.

The Asian population is projected to more than double, from 15.9 million in 2012 to 34.4 million in 2060, with its share of nation's total population climbing from 5.1 percent to 8.2 percent in the same period.

Among the remaining race groups, American Indians and Alaska Natives would increase by more than half from now to 2060, from 3.9 million to 6.3 million, with their share of the total population edging up from 1.2 percent to 1.5 percent. The Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander population is expected to nearly double, from 706,000 to 1.4 million. The number of people who identify themselves as being of two or more races is projected to more than triple, from 7.5 million to 26.7 million over the same period.

The U.S. is projected to become a majority-minority nation for the first time in 2043. While the non-Hispanic white population will remain the largest single group, no group will make up a majority.

All in all, minorities, now 37 percent of the U.S. population, are projected to comprise 57 percent of the population in 2060. (Minorities consist of all but the single-race, non-Hispanic white population.) The total minority population would more than double, from 116.2 million to 241.3 million over the period.

In other words, non-whites will be the majority, and rule over the whites who founded the nation.

So tell me...what "nation" willingly allows foreigners to walk in and take over?

Voters matter. The Dens are on the cusp of being the permanent majority party. Trump has a shot, but there will be no landslide for the Reps. It is going to be a tough. close election.

I lived 36 years in Fairfax County and watched it change from a Rep stronghold to a Dem power base. Kerry won Fairfax for the first Dem win in 40 years. It has become increasingly Dem as has NoVA. One third of Fairfax County is now foreign born.

Take a look at how the demography of VA has changed since 1970.

We are probably the only nation in history where the majority racial/ethnic group voluntarily made itself a minority thru its legal immigration policies. 87% of the 1.1 million legal immigrants who enter annually are minorities as classified by the USG. We have just had the two largest decades of immigration in our history.

I suspect so....I’m reaching for 270 any possible way. The fact that it’s 2016 & at lest 20% of the people on a conservative website, or more, can’t grasp the demographic fact that the American voting population is being systematically replaced is depressing.

If Trump can crack PA & Michigan, or Iowa & Nevada another small state like Maine or NH he’s got a chance.

Nations that have been co-opted and a founding population that has been browbeat/brainwashed into believing that this disposition is perfectly normal and in fact desirable. They have been totally disconnected from their forefathers and been taught that their forefathers were in fact evil incarnate.

The same population that willingly allows(with barely an objection) for political race groups to work as a political unit i.e. the Hispanic Caucus to advocate for laws and regulations that favors their race/group ( of course not for whites) and by definition is anti-white yet has convinced many of the majority (whites) that this very same affection/avocation on their behalf is evil and the worst part is they believe it. So it is the perfect set up for the invaders and their advocates and for our destruction.

“Trump will win NY, NJ, PA, CT , MI, OH & FL, with a good shot at CA.
Not sure what ya’ll are smokin’,
but poner el crackpipe abajo!

45+ states my friends ... 45+ states.
It’s gonna be glorious!”

The evidence for this is that Trump says “That I can tell you.” That means it’s true.

IMO Trump has a shot at OH, PA, FL, MI, NH, IA, and NV, states Obama won in 2012, which could enable him to win the WH.

It’s going to be a hard slog and a close shave. Trump could win 45 states, or 5 states, depending on one or two factors. A saw a poll yesterday touting his one point lead in Georgia. That disturbs me. The Republican should be running double digits over any dem, especially Hillary, in a solid red like Georgia, not a one point lead. We have a lot of work on our hands to make sure this election swings the right way. It may very well be our last chance.

Not sure about NH which has slid away whereas Maine has been trending RED, but the rest are possible. I would like to see Trump pick Ernst from Iowa for VP if he is going to go female.

NH is mainly white and has been fairly close except for 1996 and 2008. NH went for Obama by 6% in 2012. Trump could penetrate the state.

Obama won MA in 2012 56% to 41% and 58% to 40% in 2008. The Dems have won MA the last 6 elections and by big numbers.

NH has been a heartbreak to watch, for me. I own vacation property there & to see it shift left over the last 10-15 years has been quite depressing. I watched Scott Brown run strong on immigration & still come up short for the senate. An April poll has Trump down by 19 points to Hillary in NH.

Primary Results
New York Trump 524,932 Clinton 1,054,083
Pennsylvania Trump 892,702 Clinton 918,689
Connecticut Trump 123,367 Clinton 170,075
Michigan Trump 483,751 Clinton 576,795
Ohio Trump 727,585 Clinton 679,266
Florida Trump 1,077,221 Clinton 1,097,400

What are you smoking that makes you think Clinton won’t also beat Trump in these states (except for Ohio) in the general election?

I don't put much stock in those polls now. Bernie trailed Hillary by over 60 points. Once both parties have their candidates and they train their guns on one another the polls will tighten. Turnout will be key. So far, there is a major enthusiasm gap with the Reps having a decided advantage.

The FBI is the wild card in this election.

You are comparing apples and oranges in many of these elections. NY is a long shot certainly, It should be remembered that NY was a closed primary. Only registered party members could vote. That said, it was a record GOP turnout in NY.

A better comparison for these states is the total number of votes cast for Reps versus Dems. In OH, MI, and FL more Reps turned out than Dems. It was close in PA. These will be battleground states.

The total votes cast in PA were Rep 1,573,338 votes and the Dems 1,652,947.

In Ohio the total votes cast for Reps was 2,043,043 compared to 1,202,163 for the Dems.

In MI the total votes cast for Reps was 1,324,621 compared to 1,194,643 for the Dems.

In FL the total votes cast for Reps was 2,355,183 compared to 1,702,878 for the Dems.
