The Justice Department determined that North Carolina’s bathroom policy -using the bathroom that matches your biological sex- is in violation of federal civil rights law. Reports speculate the feds might try to restrict funding to North Carolina or pursue legal action if they don’t change the policy, though the Justice Department hasn’t commented either way.

North Carolina State House Speaker Tim Moore has made it clear, he will not be intimidated.

Article V. It’s the only hope.

I don’t get how this becomes a federal problem.

From the same people who said “keep your laws out of my bedroom.”

I don’t get how they’re able to be on both sides like this. It’s only the MSM that lets them get away with it.

Great. Now for the other shoe to hit the floor: how ready are you NC Legislature, to go it alone financially independent of the feds? That’s the bottom line in this and all efforts to nullify unconstitutional federal acts which by definition are acts of tyranny.

States, you used be financially independent from the feds. That is our American legacy: INDEPENDENCE. Let’s become free and independent under the Constitution once again!

The LSM has a 6% approval rating. That might even be lower than Congress.

Nope. A huge part of overturning federal tyranny is state nullification of unconstitutional federal acts which by definition are acts of tyranny.

Let Article V rip and let’s hope it happens. But it is not the be-all and end-all.

Constitutionally, states are sovereign outside constitutional restrains as confirmed in the Ninth and Tenth Amendments.

States need to act NOW to resist and nullify unconstitutional acts of the feds.

Of course that means the threat of going it alone, financially independent of the feds. That’s the bottom line in this and all efforts to nullify unconstitutional federal acts which by definition are acts of tyranny.

The several states used be financially independent from the feds. That is our American legacy: INDEPENDENCE. Let’s become free and independent under the Constitution once again!

I don’t get this. Can someone explain it to me how any of this makes sense???

1. Charlotte passes an ordinance allowing men to use the ladies room if they identify as women.

2. The state passes a law to override the local city ordinance in Charlotte, and restored the status quo on bathroom use.

3. For passing a law which rescinded a local ordinance which went too far, and restored the status quo, the federal government is threatening action.

4. The group of LGBT peoples are NOT a protected class under Federal civil rights laws, so how does the federal government have any jurisdiction in this area anyway???

5. Very few places in America have passed non discrimination laws like the one in Charlotte. So is the federal government now saying, the vast majority of us are bigots against trans whatever people if we don’t have such laws, and is the federal government now going to go on a crusade against the entire country over the issue of male and female restrooms and locker rooms???

6. Does the Justice Department really not have any higher priority to work on, rather than this transgender people in restrooms issue????

It reveals a deeper systemic problem: the states are addicted to Fed dollars. They’d be healthier in the long run if they told the Feds to keep their corrupt mammon.

OK! As I recall the “unpleasantness” with the Yankees last time started with SOUTH Carolina. Guess it’s NORTH Carolina’s turn! Good on ‘em!

The Department of No Justice has plenty of time to spend getting men into women’s bathrooms, because they are not spending that time on things like, well, prosecuting espionage by demonrats who take classified information, put on unsecured email servers, and sell them to foreign governments.

If they focus on transgender rights, they don’t have to deal with illegal aliens taking American jobs, HB-1 visa abuse, racial quotas hurting Asians and whites, etc.
It is a way to look like they are doing something good while doing nothing much at all - and attacking the Judeo-Christian majority and conservatives at the same time.

What are they going to do? Send the 101st to escort a drag queen to the ladies’ room?
Target is already self-destructing over this non-issue. The feddies should butt out.
Ten more months of this Obama nonsense, but he gets more lame every day: The Little Lame Prince.

The states are also addicted to taxes paid by companies who are in turn reliant on federal contracts.

The Only One to make sense out of this is the Lord God Almighty. Without Him we are doomed as a nation. What part of that equation don’t people get? Let’s play on the safe side. . .the only side and “GO WITH GOD”! If states would stand for righteousness, we would not be in this mess!
