Gay's selection for an honorary degree was met with backlash from students and faculty, who objected to her work with two groups — World Congress of Families and Family Watch International — that advocate for marriages comprising one male and one female, and oppose rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals.

Majority of Mormons in that school, I am sure.
But not outraged enough to decline their diplomas.
Do the World Congress of Families & Family Watch International really oppose rights for lesbians, hays, bisexuals & transgenders, or do they simply not celebrate with them?
I don’t know Utah, but I get the feeling that when the article mentions opposition from faculty and students what they’re saying is the activist faculty and their vocal recruits.
