A New York mom’s plea for a new car after unexpectedly giving birth to her daughter in the backseat of her Honda is going viral.
Fox 29 reported that Beth Newell, an editor for Reductress, a feminist website, tweeted a photo of her newborn, Maeven, on Sunday with the message “.@Honda, earlier today I gave birth to my daughter in the back of a Honda Fit. It is a mess. Can I have a free car?”

After a cooler with a gallon of water fell over in the back seat of my car, I had to undo a couple of bolts, pop the back seat out and let it sit in the sun for a couple of days. Considering all the foam in the seat she might need a new one, but I can't imagine a whole new car.

Hey, it’s not her fault the baby was born in the backseat, it’s the car’s fault. She should have wrapped herself in a garbage bag or sat on one with the two towels she probably owns.

I agree with you - AT LEAST AT FIRST
Then noticed she is an editor at a feminist web site.
Now if she can prove it was conceived in the back seat and she gave birth in the back seat (same car)
Maybe then she can get something.
But I have a strange feeling (no proof etc) that a test tube etc would not be used in a back seat procedure.

Honda will do nothing on Fits or CRVs. They basically get sticker price for a reason.
It is a popular model and they sell out every year. Most dealers are down to their last 2016 models because the 2017s will be arriving in July.
Getting a couple hundred bucks worth of accessories included is about the best you can do and even then only if you happen to get a display model.
