Almost no one except dedicated party activists and hired party officials know the delegate selection rules; they are arcane, obscure, different in each state, and almost impenetrable unless one can make such study a full time avocation.

I'm not a party activist. I've served as a delegate many times. It wasn't complicated to figure out.

I don't understand why people think it's so complicated, but as you know, I have an affinity for the law. So I always read the rules.
