As the Boy Scouts need to be reformed and their corporate structure cast out, so too does the same thing have to happen to the Red Cross and many other charity organizations who have fallen victim to the corporate structure overriding their purpose.
When you’re required to fundraise tens of millions to pay for salaries and deferred benefits, your focus becomes meeting that goal. The Red Cross used to have a core group of paid professionals who could come in and organize teams of volunteers to handle disasters, a design that could be scaled up to handle incredibly complex disasters. Then they installed the HR department and executives became a corporate cadre of an echo chamber who had no idea how to handle a disaster, but could dazzle corporate donors.
Which of course puts them under the control of the brainwashed corporate donors as well.
To heck with the Red Cross.
