I still don’t know what Kasich was doing. Just bizarre, that rock-solid decision to stay in until, well until Cruz dropped out. I don’t know if that was his hope, that together they could stop Trump but whole thing was weird.

He has always seemed sort of strange to me, even when he was in the House of Representatives.

He was quite clear in his speeches, it would be a contested convention and they’d hand the nomination to the only adult in the room.

According to Roger Stone a couple weeks back, Kasich was being funded by Soros to stay in the campaign and represented an alternative strategy to dealing with Trump from the Romney/Bush/etc. faction. But for Kasich to have any influence, Cruz also had to stay in to the end so the two of them could deny Trump from reaching 1237. Once Cruz dropped out though, Kasich lost any of the leverage he might have had, if Cruz had stayed in.

Money. There was money available to run against Trump until Indiana then it dried up. The 2 stooges accepted it and tried to make a showing. It didn't work.

Cruz wasn't always a stooge but you could feel his pivot to nothing but "Stop Trump" once the "Stop Trump" money came his way.

Cruz was my guy but once his campaign went into "Stop Trump" mode he seemed to cheapen his campaign and it really turned me off.
