Buchanan does have his facts right.

There is no evidence Putin has assassinated anyone.

Even the EU found that Georgia started the 2008 war when Russian peacekeepers were attacked in S. Ossetia. http://www.theguardian.com/world/2009/sep/30/georgia-attacks-unjustifiable-eu (”An investigation into last year’s Russia-Georgia war delivered a damning indictment of President Mikheil Saakashvili today, accusing Tbilisi of launching an indiscriminate artillery barrage on the city of Tskhinvali that started the war.”)

Russia has not “invaded,” Ukkraine, despite the fact the US fostered the overthrow of the legitimately elected Ukrainian government and the Russia people in Crimea and the East rebelled. (How can the overthrow of the legitimate government in Kiev be applauded, while rebellion against the illegal overthrow is condemned?) No Russia invasion, per

“Soviet Admiral?” The Soviet Union no longer exists.

Russia isn’t provoking the US in the Gulf of Mexico or the Caribbean as the US is doing to Russia in the Baltic 5,000 miles away.

The US and its evil allies Saudi Arabia and Turkey are supporting and supplying the head choppers who attacked Aleppo in the first place. Russia is attacking ISIS. al Nusra, and the “moderate” rebels who fight right alongside them. US presence in Syria is totally illegal, unlike Russia’s which is at the behest of the internationally recognized government.

Try the words “Polonium”, the facial disfiguring of an Ukrainian leader, Soviet troops inside the Ukraine (their new artillery literally burns opposition troops alive - I’ve seen the photos), Soviet KGB “retired” leaders such as Grilkov, leading the Donest movement, etc.

Those Russian tanks in Georgia were real.

You’ve been listening to Prof. Stephen Cohen way too much on the John Batchelor Show. One day we will read that Cohen was a longtime Soviet asset, probably KGB but GRU is not improbable. Criticisms of him being the top Soviet apologist go back at least to an article in the Wash. Post in 1980 and his marriage to Katrina Van Den Heuvel of the Marxist “The Nation” adds a lot of weight to his Marxist sympathies. For decades The Nation was run by covert but identified Communist Party USA member/organizer Carey McWilliams among others.

I don’t know Russia would fear the Ukraine being in NATO since the Ukes are not going to invade it. Nor is Poland, or Hungary, or the Baltic States or the US. This is purely as Russian fantasy that is swallowed whole by some in the West.

Soviet Admiral. I believe he was before he morphed into a Russian Admiral. You have to work your way up the ranks and that meant starting in the old Soviet Navy (which just changed its name to the Russian Navy).

After all, many SFB leaders today, including Putin, started out in its predecessor the KGB, just as KGB agents earlier worked for the NKVD and the Cheka.

Re Saudi Arabia and Turkey. What did you expect from them?
Unfortunately we have to deal with them as the lesser of many evils but if you think I trust either of them, you are wrong.

Russia’s indiscriminate bombing in Syria is NOT recognized by the US, UN, the EU etc. In fact, Doctors Without Borders has condemned Russia for its knowingly directed attacks on their hospitals (one of their last doctors in Aleppo was killed the other day). Notice I used the word “knowingly” as opposed to “accidental” (I’m anticipating your reply re Afghanistan). Forget it. I played that game with the reds over Bach Mai Hospital in Hanoi during the war. It was accidental, PERIOD.
