Jeff Sessions would be a good choice, i.e. a Senator who endorsed Trump early on and sees eye to eye with him on immigration and trade. Unlike Trump, he has legislative experience and knows how to work with Congress. The downside is that Sessions can't bring a swing state over to Trump, being from Alabama, a state that's guaranteed to go Republican regardless.

Unfortunately, the most prominent politicians from swing states are Kasich (OH), Jeb and Marco (FL), none of whom I'd like to see on the ticket. If Trump had to pick one of these to bring GOPe types back into the fold (including Republican PAC campaign money) and to win a big swing state, I suppose that I dislike Kasich the least.

Kasich is that "nice" guy, kinda metrosexual - the women would flock to him :)

Agree Kasich really did well in the R primary in Ohio and won the last gov election by THIRTY points. Putting him on the ticket probably locks in Ohio.

Then you carpet bomb Florida and Virginia in the campaign and you’re good to win.
