Smart guy, dubious morals, wrong temperament.

Strangely, I can make the same case about Trump...

Actually, on second thought, Newt would be a much better chief of staff

Need someone not part of the old order.

I dunno. I can agree somewhat, but then again, he's gonna need the experience. I always wanted to see Newt debate Hitlery back in 2008. Newt would wipe the floor with her. He developed the Contract with America, which was, for the most part, brilliant. I would, however, be suspicious of his establishment creds.

“I REALLY like Walker however he is horrible on the campaign trail VERY little charisma!!!!”

I liked how he stood against the unions etc. But other than that what is to like. He was one of the 5 biggies that the Club for growth financed. And he was the guy Grover Norquist wanted. That means open borders, bad trade agreements. Walker was all squishy about illegal aliens. On Cruz’s FB page, Walker was one of 3 ‘likes’ for his page for MONTHS.

He’s GOPe, all the way.

Nice thought. Texas should go for Trump on election night without Rick Perry, though.(Thoughts of a native Texan.)

"Little Marco" not as bad as "Lyin' Ted", but still..

The only reason to have Rubio on board is if Rubio could help deliver Florida. However, Rubio is despised in his home state (he's not running for re-election to the Senate because he wouldn't get re-elected) and therefore brings absolutely nothing to the table. The notion that Rubio represents the "Future of the GOP" is just a bunch of self-serving hype from the RNC.

Of those choices the one that would help him the most is Rubio.

Yeah, I’m not a fan of Rubio but it sure seems like that is the direction this will go. Rubio does well with suburban women, has GOPe connections, can help in FL, etc. Nobody else really checks that many boxes. Too bad he’s not a solid conservative.

As the candidate, he will get RNC money. Automatically. And here’s this:

I doubt it. Rubio wouldn't be of much help in Florida (see my post #27).

Mia Love, he (Rubio) was nice looking and can give a decent speech until I saw him in action and found out a few things, so that won't fly. Cruz at first I was afraid he would be a lightning rod but I liked him, then his personality started turning me off.

Maybe she could be persuaded to support Trump; however, I would like to see country first and not be motivated by a good career move. Just because she is black wouldn't necessarily help because Hillary has most of the blacks in a decade's-long trance.

I like Tulsi, too, but she's a Dem, and went for Sanders, so that was the end of that.

Under Trump, I think Kasich’s main job would be to go to lunch every day. Similar to what Biden has done for the last 8 years. His ideology is pretty inconsequential.

I don’t wish to participate in this activity.

None of the people who are now trying to nail this down, were pro Trump to begin with.

They want to force on him someone “to balance the ticket”.

The absolute last thing we want is someone that will help water down Trump’s message.

It’s his choice. He’ll make it when he is ready.

No anti-Trump folks have a voice in this. Thank God.

POST OF THE DAY!

I was wondering if Tulsi Gabbard would wind up supporting Trump if Hitlery is the candidate.

I have a feeling (fond hope?) that her support of Burnie was more anti-Hitlery than pro-Burnie.

RNC money, yes. PAC money that on paper at least isn't affiliated with any party or candidate, not necessarily.
