A Tear Jerker.
Sniff sniff...
Must be allergies.
Such loyal dogs are heartwarming. Disney had an old show similar to this “Greyfriar’s Bobby”.
I have never heard of a baby having a stroke. How tragic!
Very sad :(
Looks like my basset, Lilly. Very loyal dogs, devoted to their families.
Awwww, I had two Bassett hounds and when Bella got sick and was dying, Pete stayed right next to her side the entire time she was ill. It was very touching to see how much he cared for her.
That is touching, but this make take a long time.
Are the hospitals really ready to have untrained (unwashed)
non-companion dogs in their hospital ward for what may be a few weeks? The baby should be transfer to a hospice, that would be willing to accommodate the pets in short visits.
The owner should spare the dogs that stress and take them home.
True, allergies are a bitch, must be everywhere this time of year, too.
Before the stroke.
No reason they can’t call in a veterinarian to give a calmative to the dogs.
But I’m not sure that dogs and cats can’t pray, in a way that we humans may not be able to discern but God could. If she revives against all odds there is going to be quite a story here.
I have had five basset hounds. They were and are all amazing dogs. About 12 years ago, I had complications after one surgery and stopped breathing. My basset hound, Georgie, was downstairs but somehow sensed I was in distress. He began barking at my husband and ran upstairs, barking the entire way. He saved my life.
Precious babies and loving dogs.......the combination of the two is one of God’s richest blessings. God will take the little one back to heaven and I have to believe the dogs will be reunited with her in the future.......;( My heart goes out to the family.
Cats too. Don’t forget cats.
Some animals show far more empathy than some humans.
My wife feared my German shepherd might be jealous of our new son....this was back some 35 years ago. When we brought him home from the hospital, my ‘Tex’, planted himself under the cradle as his protector and was the boys buddy and protector for the next 5 years that the dog lived.
Gotta love dogs.
Sad, but sweet...
