Seriously, the campaign is drawing to an end.
Here’s my opinion on making a better Free Republic:
1. There’s no need to be angry or bitter. Political races often are rough and tough, but from each race must come a winner, and only one winner.
2. The winner here appears to be Donald Trump. While there are still more elections to go the math tells me that only Trump can get enough delegates to win on the first ballot and more importantly, I believe he will.
3. When this happens I think all other candidates should drop out and support Trump.
4. I really don’t think a brokered convention would help us at all, and the democrats, more than anyone else but maybe those camps hoping to create one, would benefit the most.
5. Trump supporters should be gracious to Cruz supporters here. NO ONE likes their noses rubbed in it.
6. Those who support Cruz believes he is the most conservative candidate, and we should applaud that. There’s nothing wrong with that thinking. Others may see things differently, but at least we can be respectful in our disagreements.
7. The democrats and Hillary Clinton can not be given the reins of power. Eight years of Obama has seriously hurt our country. This MUST END!
Great post AB. Let’s hope your words become the rule.
We have a common and really dangerous enemy, and it ain't us.
There are times and places where voting for the most conservative candidate doesn't advance the cause of conservatism or help the Republican Party.
Agree with all your points. BUMP!
Re #7: Just the possibility that the next president could nominate as many as three SCOTUS judges is plenty enough reason to work hard to deny Killary.
THANK YOU, AB
for a reasoned, compassionate and eloquent appeal to all Freeprs!
Well said.
