My observation as well. This had to be explained to me a couple of decades ago as a wise employee of mine and I discussed “the List” of companies to boycott in the Dillon’s reloading flyer.

And when they can't defend their positions then regardless of how ill-thought out they are, they will just switch the subject ignore the facts, try to shout you down. But they won't change their minds

You don't think all those idiots out there trying to, say, shut down a Trump rally, have thought out their positions. No, their heart is in the wrong place.
