"A bullet hole in the head." "They blew her guts out."
As Mayor Mitch Landrieu spoke about violence in New Orleans, it seemed at times as if he was using intentionally graphic language in an attempt to shock the audience gathered Wednesday (April 27) at Tulane University.

The harsh lessons of the 20th century have taught people everywhere that governments are not to be trusted. Particularly when they demand that the people be disarmed.
And that is why every attempt to disarm the citizens is met with an increase in the number of firearms the people hold.
I threw my guts out after a bottle of JD once. Does that count?
how about describing a knife attack? they can be pretty horrendous.
Romans did a lot of brutal stuff without one gun.
His argument is pitifully unconvincing.
Reminds me of a scene in WAGONMASTER a few days ago. One of the good guys sticks a pistol in his back pocket. He is warned by Ben Johnson to be careful and not blow his brains out!
Well I guess Ben didn’t have a very high opinion of the guy. LOL!
Maybe it would be better if guns hadn’t been invented, but since they have, and criminals have them, you’d better have one too.
The goal should be to make criminal use of weapons—as in criminal-criminal—so costly through punishment that the very prospect would be dreaded. Sort of a Singapore style treatment of weapons misuse. Rather, the gun-control nuts, under the guise of preventing violence, want to prevent self-defense; usually they are also soft on criminals of all types as well. Back-wards.
“The harsh lessons of the 20th century have taught people everywhere that governments are not to be trusted. Particularly when they demand that the people be disarmed.”
Yes; examples follow:
GUN CONTROL FACTS
In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Note that except the last paragraph I got this list on FR (I think). I’d credit the author if I remembered who it was.
Sounds like in the beginning Landrieu is making the case for more executions and much more rapid carrying out of capital punishments.
“America doesn’t have a gun problem, it has a thug culture problem.”
From the article:
“Landrieu said. “The violence has become so ingrained, so baked in, it has become part of our culture.””
Maybe he’s just starting to figure it out.
He’s just trying to help Hillary.
Anyone notice that she’s decided to base her platform on gun disarmament?
Given the current explosion in gun sales, how is that even remotely smart? Liberal Grammas are packing these days.
to do that one has to ahve their head up their ass
right???
