No invasion of Iraq was utterly pointless. What to invade Iraq to bring “democracy”? muslims cannot handle democracy.
We saw what happened in Egypt when they got democracy, they voted in the muslim brotherhood, what did democracy do in Palestine? They voted in hamas
Its better that muslim nations are under a strongman dictator like Gaddafi,Saddam or Assad because if they get to vote they always pick somebody worse
And if you wanted to go after the ones responsible for 911 we should have invaded Saudi Arabia,
The first two invasions of Iraq were so successful we are gearing up to do it again.
I don’t think that he was saying that invading Iraq was good because it gave democracy to the Muslims, but that it gave us a footprint in the ME. With our presence there it should/could bring stability to the ME. We could keep track of ME better. Remember that much of the ME is dedicated to our destruction, as well as Israel’s. This was true and ultimately good for us and our allies but it was all thrown away when we picked up and left.
