I was nervous about Trump’s campaign being ready to effectively communicate which delegates to vote for. So it looks like an improvement in delegate management to me.

It might be an improvement in ground game. The ground game was good, I just can’t compare it to other states since I don’t live there. This is a very different kind of delegate management though. This one depends on getting the same voters who are voting for you to vote for the delegates. That’s really just slightly altering your campaign message in the state, but still going through all the same channels to reach the voters you normally would.

Illinois has a similar system, except the ballot tells you which candidate the delegates are for, so I assume they don’t need to spend much time campaigning for the delegates.

But there’s every reason to think they will swing toward Trump in the GE just as they did in the primary - for the same reasons.

Personally, I got a mailer from Cruz showing me his delegates in my district, but not one from Trump. No one was at my poll to communicate either Cruz or Trump delegate information. But I heard other people got Trump mailers and had people at the polls for Trump.

No reason to assume any Republican can win it. They’ve been trying since 1988 to win it again and never were able to do it.

Here’s exhibit A...the Repubs had 1,537,696 votes in PA yesterday. The Dems had 1,638,644, about 6.5% more votes. And I think we know the turnout trend is supposed to be heavier for the Republicans on average.

If you look at the demographics of PA, they’ve trended heavily against the traditional Republican demographics since 2000. Maybe by a factor of 10%.

PA is a state the Repubs will get only if they don’t need it. By the time PA falls for them, a lot of other more purple states will have already landed in their lap.

The PA delegate process is anything but convoluted. >>> corrupt i voted for only one in CD1 because none that i could find out were committed to anything but the local crime boss. it was great that trump worked on the unbound ones. we will see.

You assume Mr. R. Cruz will put the interests of the country before the interests of his personal ambitions.

I hope you are correct there, but I do have doubt regards his intent.

I think part of the attraction of this movement is the unlawyering of the political class in this country. Levin,d limbaugh ,Kelly, etc hatred is based on they are lawyers and the tea party, trump, and the rest of us are not. (rush’s bro, d limbaugh and father limbaugh were lawyers) ban the .esq title of nobility from public office according to the constitution.

...I just can’t compare it to other states since I don’t live there.

Well I am comparing them with a balanced ignorance, since my state has not voted yet, and the primary is fairly straightforward here (CA).

Trump is a liberal just as bad as hillary is.

There's lies and there's damn lies, and that's a damn lie.

That damn lie has been factually repudiated several times in this community. There is ample evidence, going back 30 years r more, from Trumps own writings and statements, which prove that he has had conservative positions on numerous key issues.

This yet another reason is why Ted Cruz and his fanboys have lost this debate: hysterical lies.

Vote Trump

I’m tired of the sycophantic Trump hooplah. It’s just as bad as the young Bernie crowd. Trump is a liberal just as bad as hillary is. He says EXACTLY what conservative Republicans want to here. He will not make good on ANY of it.

This is true of everyone else who has run for the GOP Presidential Nomination since and including 1988.

“Oh he’s changed his view” is not an answer!!!

On the issues that appear to be most important to his campaign, he has been extremely consistent since before Bush the Elder was president.

I thought we were supposed to distrust all politicians?

We are. But we're going to have to vote for one of them. Hopefully Donald Trump has been corrupted yet.

We already know that Ted Cruz has. We've seen it with our own eyes.

This yet another reason is why Ted Cruz and his fanboys have lost this debate: jumping in bed with Mitt "Benedict Arnold" Romney, Neil Bush, Jeb Bush, Lindsay Graham, John McCain, and a veritable "Who's who" of the cast & crew of the film Worst of GOPe Follies...

Vote Trump

Who has Cruz in a head lock? For real, someone is pulling his chain because if that’s not the case, then the man is clearly unbalanced.

So, who is running his game? It makes zero sense. The Carly nonsense is a knee slapper, he’s making a fool of himself with this move.

I want anyone here to tell me what the dialogue would be IF the numbers were reversed?? Does anyone believe for even a moment that the cruz backers wouldn’t be screaming bloody murder for Trump to drop out? I’m not talking of the die hard cruzers here, I’m talking Rush, Beck (puke), Levin and his screetching gig. Deace/Erickson/et al

This is turning into a side show while the country suffers more, the world gets more dangerous (I don’t need to list the items, you know them better than most) while we look at cruz pulling stupid stunts and these talking heads championing this idiocy.

What is the pay off?? What is the end game???

Other than the tired and boring contested convention garbage, who, what, why, are these nameless faceless backers pushing this crap?

Rant off - for now
