Well, is he Davey Crockett or a Mexican soldier?

Uh, you do know that Texans lost and were massacred at that one right?

North Carolina and South Carolina men and boys answered Texas' call for assistance. Not only Texans put their lives on the line for the Lone Star State at the Alamo.

Ain't happening again. Texas is on her own now with only a braggart's robe of conceit to shield her.

I think of it more as Cruz’s Little Bighorn. Cruz is General George P. Custard.

Sort of like last night...

Well, I don’t want to denigrate the fight at the Alamo, even if Tead can’t see a reason not to.

It really was an unfortunate comparison for Senor Cruz, a Texas senator.

Santa Anna had the el deguello played and flew the black flag before his final attack on the Alamo.
El Degüello is a bugle call, notable in the US for its use as a march by Mexican Army buglers during the 1836 Siege and Battle of the Alamo to signal that the defenders of the garrison would receive no quarter by the attacking Mexican Army under General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna.
“Toque a Degüello” was introduced to the Americas by the Spanish armies and was later adopted by the patriot armies fighting against them during the Spanish American wars of independence.
“Degüello” is a Spanish noun from the verb “degollar”, to describe the action of throat-cutting. More figuratively, it means “give no quarter.” It “signifies the act of beheading or throat-cutting and in Spanish history became associated with the battle music, which, in different versions, meant complete destruction of the enemy without mercy.”

So, Sam Houston, his Texians, San Jacinto and “Remember the Alamo!”

Well, good. Then he should tell the voters he’s going home to change clothes and they should all vote for Trump.

Interesting factoid about "El Degüello".

It originated in the Islam culture (Moors). The Spanish appropriated it then transported the song to Mexico during their colonization period.

A tune about beheading was created by Muslims. Shocking.

The Alamo was the site of a heroic stand.

Cruz’ Indiana will be another state that unveils his emerging lunacy.

The survival rate was extremely low for the “Texians” who were defending the Alamo. Their sacrifice did make a rallying cry for the rest of the campaign against Santa Anna, though.

What did Jim Bowie say to Davie Crockett when they saw 5000 Mexicans running towards them?

"Hey Davie, are we pouring concrete today?"

It took me a moment, then LOLOLOL!!!!!

Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t the Texicans get slaughtered at the Alamo?

That was George Armstrong Custer.

Unless you're saying Cruz is a fattening dessert.
