25 Ways the NFL Slimed Tom Brady
Breitbart ^ | Daniel J. Flynn

Posted on 04/27/2016 7:47:04 AM PDT by detective

From the investigator touting as truth the opposite of the testimony of the AFC Championship Game referee on the matter most salient to Deflategate to the league admitting ignorance of the Ideal Gas Law to Roger Goodell hearing the appeal on the fairness of the suspension Roger Goodell handed down, the NFL gives its fans myriad reasons to doubt its investigation into Tom Brady.

The NFL has been dishonest and fraudulent in their treatment of Tom Brady. Anyone who knows about football understands this.

The NFL's only argument is that they can be as dishonest as they want and that they are allowed to do whatever they want.

Two judges found that Goodell's diashonesty was so egregious that they took the very rare move of overturning his decision.

Two other judges said it doesn't matter how dishonest Goodell was, he can do almost whatever he wants.

Tom Brady is a future political force who can lock stock and barrel the entire New England electorate. Connecticut to Maine. He must be made to be discredited.

You seem obsessed with Tom Brady and his flaccid balls.

I was surprised that each team controls a set of balls

I would have expected that the referees would control a basket of 50 balls (or whatever) that are weighed and measured to be regulation, that they have ready for each game.

Then only referees put a ball into play, or grab a new one when a player decides to keep one or toss it into the stands.

Brady lost at an appeals court. That means it’s pretty much over. I cannot imagine this being taken up en banc or by the Scotus. And even then the scotus is split 4-4, and in that case the appeals ruling remains.

Brady’s best bet is to get Goodell to reduce the sentence. No further legal action in exchange for a ‘reconsidered and one game will be fine with no admission of guilt’.

I really want this over. First, it’s stupid.

Second, it’s stupid.

The NFL front office needs Condoleezza Rice. Her time is right now.

“You seem obsessed with Tom Brady and his flaccid balls.”

I am not obsessed. I made a great deal of money betting on the first court decision. Most people hate Brady so much they were eager to bet.

I have realized how ignorant people are about what really happened. I am simply trying to help FReepers be better informed.

Read the article and learn something.

Sure but ONE of the judges who overturned Goodell was a certified fanboy of Brady’s and beside it isn’t “how many” Judges did what it’s WHICH Judges did it.

It doesn’t matter at this point what Brady did or did not do. His reputation and legacy are completely shot and he will forever be known as the cheater who led the NE Pats to all those SB’s.

It doesn't really matter whether the NFL is right or wrong in this case. From a legal perspective, the commissioner has all the authority he needs to do exactly what he did.

If Tom Brady has a problem with this, then the NFLPA should simply negotiate better terms in the next collective bargaining agreement.

The refs used to have full control over all game balls. Tom Brady was instrumental in getting this changed and allowing each team to take responsibility for its own balls (game :-))

NFL officials used to control the balls during the game, but some NFL quarterbacks pressed to have the rule changed because they wanted the ability to vary the pressure to fit their own grips.

What would be the motive for Goodell and the NFL to railroad the case against Brady?

The balls were tampered and the deflator did not do it without Brady and/or Patriot’s coaches knowledge.

The biggest benefit for lower pressure balls is for the ball carriers and the Patriots stats for fumbles/carry are so low they are off the chart.

the suspension is fair and the Feds arent going to touch this.
