Switzerland Readies Military In Preparation For A New Wave Of Migrants
Zero Hedge ^ | 23 April 2016 | Tyler Durden

With the main route (reportedly shut down) being from Turkey to Greece, and up through the Balkans...

But now, in response to Balkan countries closing down traditional migrant routes to Europe, Switzerland's military is taking steps to prepare for a potential new wave of immigrants in case it becomes part of a new route.

As such, Switzerland has put together a formal emergency preparedness plan, which outlines three scenarios, one of which would call for military intervention.

Kids who go to rifle training on Saturday mornings, men who are issued full autos as part of their military service, etc. The muzzies ought to think twice about rampaging through that country.

Every Swiss citizen fires one bullet and goes back home to enjoy a cup of cocoa, invaders having been completely dispatched.

I have my doubts on these invaders walking through Switzerland. It’s beautiful but a serious challenge for healthy people with a work ethic, and impossible for lazy savages. Perhaps the terrorists are planning on coming by truck or bus, but they are not going to do it on foot.

Agreed - walking through mountainous Switzerland to the promised land in Germany or Sweden doesn't make sense. The pristine cities of Zurich, Geneva, St. Gallen, etc... would be a nice goal for roaches looking for a fat target, so I imagine the Swiss preparedness is for large-scale, coordinated smugglers, neighbors who push unwanted migrants towards Switzerland in large numbers, or local refugees who will act violently, particularly in a coordinated way, in a time of crisis.

Ever been to Switzerland?

It's a fortress, the whole country.

The little factory in an obscure valley that I was in had a fully stocked blast shelter, not merely a fallout shelter, a BLAST shelter. It could survive a Hiroshima sized blast 100m away.

Every choke point of every valley I saw was completely crossed by anti-tank dragon's teeth

There were cute little chalets strategically placed around tight turns on mountain roads, except they weren't chalets, they were concrete pill boxes.

Straight stretches of roads had arches along the adjoining hills. Not decorations, entrances for hangars.

No one could ever hope to overtly invade Switzerland and survive.

Too bad these invaders come disguised as poor widdle refugees, and want to die in jihad...

Why does the U
S. not initiate the same setup?

The unemloyed would be happy to build those bunkers all over the country and locals could staff them.

Because the communists and communist sympathizers in congress, the media and the white house claim purely defensive measures are "provocative".

They really want us dead.

I'm a Marine Corps brat, I knew what to look for.

Also it helped that one of my colleges was a Colonel in the Swiss army, when he wasn't making electronic components.

He drove us around and gave us a bit of a tour, was more than happy to satisfy my interests in their set-up.

Easier pickings for the Swiss if by truck/bus.

Yes, Switzerland is a tough nut to crack, for traditional invaders. Nevertheless, the Swiss *do* have a problem with a rapidly-growing Muslim population (not including the tens of thousands believed to be there illegally).

You hear the same hand-wringing nonsense from their politicians as you do throughout the western world - they are oh, so concerned about doing anything which may be seen as "divisive". They need to wake up and realize that Islam *is* division, down to its core.

The Swiss and the Hungarians get it - pretty much everyone else is utterly befuddled and clueless.

Unfortunately, even the Swiss don’t consider the option of completely closing their border to the invaders and using the military to stop the Muslim soldiers by any means necessary.

Si vis pacem, para bellum is a Latin adage translated as, "If you want peace, prepare for war". The adage was adapted from a statement found in Book 3 of Latin author Publius Flavius Vegetius Renatus' tract De Re Militari

They could save a lot of time and money with strategically placed snipers.
