You realize this disenfranchises the majority of state voters.
If there are 10 candidates and the winner takes less than 30% of the votes with the rest proportioned among the other 9, the 70% who did not vote for him have their will ignored.
Why not a proportional system? You win 29%, you get 29% of the delegates, etc.

I think the answer to that question is obvious: it doesn’t benefit Trump.
That’s like liberal’s “participation trophies”...
Either you win or you lose...All or nothing...
That makes sense, and I’d like to see the Electoral College go proportional too.
Here in California, we’re pretty much hosed. If the EVs were proportional, we could actually make a difference in the EV total.
