Donald Trump says the electoral delegate allocation is "rigged" and rival "Lyin' Ted" Cruz is trying to steal the election away by wooing supporters.
But in Pennsylvania, where 54 unbound delegates are elected directly by district and free to vote as they wish, Trump is employing the same hunting playbook Cruz has used for weeks. Hate the player, not the game?
Trump insists he can reach that key number - 1237 delegates - by winning the pledged delegates awarded in primaries, but his team is nonetheless on the ground working to sway the unbound delegates his rivals hope to use to derail him. In interviews with eleven of the 41 delegate candidates on the Trump slate, Pennsylvania Republicans running for those 54 spots describe a campaign strategy that's looking more and more like the Cruz game plan every day.

This is dumb. If you watched Trump’s speeches in PA he’s telling people to remember to vote for the Trump delegates on the ballots.
That is the Cruz playbook??
I don’t care for the immature lying Ted Cruz comment and I don’t care for the name calling like the Trump Dumpster but he would save us all a lot of trouble if he did reach that number, now quite talking about it and do it.
First they attacked Trump for “not knowing the rules” and being “outsmarted by Cruz”.
Now they criticize Trump for hiring people who know the rules and using the same tactics Cruz does.
It seems they have no goal other than to attack Trump no matter what he does.
So?
The system is crooked. But sometimes you have to play tough but fair within a system in order to make a profit.
It’s basic level game theory.
Doesn’t change the fact that the system is rigged.
It’s called the winning playbook. Loser Cruzers would be wise to accept the reality that Trump is the presumptive nom. Otherwise, it could be rough for Cruz in 2018. More Texans will vote Trump in November than have ever voted for Cruz. Just some friendly advice there.
The Cruz playbook is state over and over “I’ve won five elections in a row” including ND where there was no election!. It’s a flat out LIE. THAT is the Cruz playbook. And Trump is executing an end run around all that. Trump is an amazing strategic thinker, and Cruz is not. That is why Cruz is cratering, doesn’t understand the law of cause and effect.
In CO it’s called stealing delegates, in PA it’s a winning playbook. I really wish Trump supporters would pick a meme and stick with it. It’s getting hard to keep track what bad thing that Cruz has done which has become a good thing now that Trump is doing it. It’s like trying to follow the logic of a bunch of Democrats.
DING! DING! DING! WE HAVE A WINNER!
Let me guess before I look at your comment history.
You are a Dead Ender Cruz supporter.
Unlike Cruz, Trump is playing the delegate game to win on the 1st ballot.
This point is missed, most likely intentionally.
Kind of late to the game, isn’t he?
Trump is learning how to play the game—Those who dislike Trump better get used to him—He will be President for at least four years! Yes, he’s Brash-—but no more than others (Truman comes to mind), Yes, he’s bold (but no more than Reagan was) He also inspires like JFK. He will be a better than average—or—even a great president. I am willing to give him a chance.
CO its called stealing delegates
EXCLUSIVE: Colorado County GOP Chair: Errors with Ted Cruzs Delegate Win, Might Need Do-Over

“In CO its called stealing delegates, in PA its a winning playbook.”
Let me help you. In Colorado, Trump supporters were shut out by the state’s GOP machine; that’s now become evident by the revelations yesterday. In PA., the process is complicated to the average voter, but it is not being subverted.
Regarding Colorado:
Cruz organized at the FRONT END of the process and ensured hed identified his most ardent supporters, with the best name recognition, in each Congressional District, and at the State level.
That is called a slate.
Then, when other Cruz delegates see a Slate of vetted Cruz supporters running for National Assembly, they know their best bet is to vote for that slate.
Aside from that, of the 630 delegates running for National from the State Assembly (14 pages) only 1 page was bound to Trump, while 4 1/2 pages were bound to Cruz.
(8 1/2 pages unbound)
THAT is why Trump canceled his speech at State and decided to whine and lie about the process, instead.
This is a BS article. Trump and team are clearly identifying those delegates in PA that have said they are voting for him. Article makes it seem that Trump is poaching delegates. He’s doing no such thing.
