I had to turn Limbaugh off he spends half of every day “explaining”why it’s perfectly ok to steal Trump’s delegates and we are all just so tragically dumb and don’t understand?

According to Rush it’s just fine if a Trump delegate is a Cruz delegate because hey that only affects the second ballot.

We’re not that stupid Rush! And even if Trump wins why would I want a bunch of loser a Cruz delegates running the convention?

Limbaugh has become a real jackass.

Why are you bashing Rush? Rush has done million times more to the conservative principles than you or you guy have ever done.

You’re right - the first hour was all I could take - had to turn it off

I believe he thinks Trump will get robbed of the nomination - he’s trying to lay the groundwork so nobody gets surprised

He’s afraid that the Trump folks will stay home in that case

He’s buttering them up for the big sale-

He's done that, but at least he's spreading the word about what will happen if the delegate stealing succeeds. A total disaster for the GOP. He's not blowing smoke about how we'll all unify around Cruz, Kasich or some other chump they dig up at the convention.

Read between the lines. Limbaugh's message as of this week is: A contested convention is suicide. It's Trump or Hillary. Choose.

“I had to turn Limbaugh off he spends half of every day “explaining”why it’s perfectly ok to steal Trump’s delegates and we are all just so tragically dumb and don’t understand?”

The same with Levine, ‘lecturing’ about how how it all works and why it's OK to essentially ignore the voters. I heard him say ‘the popular vote of the people doesn't decide whose going to be candidate, that's not the way it works’.

Well, I'll take his word for it that the party has set rules that allows an oligarchy of party officials and party activists to decide who gets to run, but in a two-party system such as ours this constitutes circumventing representative government - plain and simple.

I think of the general election for President somewhat like a menu that you are ordering dinner from. Traditionally, our American presidential election menu has only two entrees to choose from, the Democrat entree or the Republican entree. If you're a Republican and don't like the Republican entree, your only choice is to either not order dinner (don't vote), or order the entree you don't actually like. The same is true for Democrat voters. Thus, our only chance to influence what's on the menu, and to ensure having an entree on the final menu that we actually like, is during the process in which the final menu entrees are chosen - the primaries.

If during the primary process the majority of the Republican voters say they want pizza as the Republican final menu entree choice, and the majority of the Democrat voters say they want cheeseburgers, how representative of the voter is it if the party officials and activists decide that the final menu will be a choice between fried liver or chow mien? How is this representative government?

Levine can rant about how ‘this is the process, and if you want to influence it you have to be active in the party and do the work within the scope of the rules that are set up’, but this just doesn't cut it, and is tragically not much different than telling the average USSR citizen that ‘if you want to change things, work through the Politburo’.

so dont shoot the messenger! and shame on the candidate who PRETENDS he doesnt know how the POLITICAL game is played.

yes, the rules suck - elect people who will change them. but dont get caught up in the cult of making changes outside of the law. that only brings anarchy.
