That’s a tricky question:

If Cruz is running as VP with Kasich, they won’t even win the Romney states.

If Cruz is running as VP with Trump, we have no idea what states they will win. That will depend on how candidate Trump evolves as he moves into the general election and how aggressively he campaigns.

If Cruz is running as VP for Ronald Reagan (yes, I know Reagan is dead, but it could happen), then they could do quite well.

If Cruz is running as VP for Superman or Batman, then they could sweep everything except DC and Massachusetts (the whole “truth, justice, and the American way” thing doesn’t go over well there).

If Cruz is running at the top of the ticket, well, I don’t answer hypothetical questions that are that unrealistic.

The only candidate who’s has any potential to change the map is Trump... has been that way since day one.

The establishment fear is he’ll either lose states that are traditionally republican or even worse win states that aren’t traditionally republican. IF its the prior, no big deal they lose an election and stay in power, if its the latter, they lose their power.

So, which do you think it is that they really fear? Considering they are fighting against him harder than they ever fought against Obama or Hillary combined?

Reagan could not be elected governor of California in 2016.

And Reagan would have just barely beat Obama in 2012.

91% of Blacks voted against Reagan in 1984.

66% of Hispanics voted against Reagan in 1984.
